One year after rapping that Kobe Bryant couldn't win an NBA title without him, Shaquille O'Neal has now tweeted that he hopes Bryant soon earns his fourth championship ring. Shaq tweeted this Wednesday: "thats right i am saying it today and today only, i want kobe bryant to get number 4, spread da word"

There you go. He said it but Kobe fanatics won't take it. They'll just say he is a bandwagoner.

C'mom Shaq... be a man and mean what you say and say what you mean. We all know you want to rap again this summer... plus how on earth could you forgive someone that threw you under the bus when he got caught cheating on his wife....

who's this shaq guy ?
- never heard of him......

June 4, 2009  08:48 AM ET

I want to believe Shaq, so I will. I genuinely think he does want Kobe to win that fourth title, and guess what? HE WILL!

June 4, 2009  08:59 AM ET

Shaq doesn't really want Kobe to win the championship this year. He knows Kobe is going to, so he may as well look like the well wisher!

Who gives a crap about what Shaq thinks? Can he beat Kobe in a bicycle race, or will he fight Kimbo Slice in a fatty MMA battle? When did Fannation become Shaq's personal twitter?

The Lakers are more talented, and are playing a team that needed 7 games to beat a Celtics team with no bench, missing their best defensive player. Kobe will win his title whether Shaq wishes him well or not.

June 4, 2009  09:31 AM ET

I don't believe it for a second. A Championship would mean vindication for Kobe. After the Magic bounce them, Shaq will issue another statement that will be more indicative of how he really feels.

June 4, 2009  09:33 AM ET

I dont I hope my second team magic expose the lakers as they did the cavs and there so called king without a crown!
Go Magic!

I thinks its more than that. I think its Shaq not wanting Dwight Howard to be compared to him in his younger days. Shaq wants to be a one of a kind big man. Dwight is stealing his thunder. I still think Shaq wants Kobe to tell him how his a** tastes.

And the lakers needed 7 games to beat a wounded rockets team missing yao and mcgrady so do you really wanna make that statement?

The relationship between Kobe and Shaq seemed to turn a corner during the All-Star game when they won Co-MVP's. When they together held that trophy up it seemed to take them back to the trophy years.

Also it is hard to hate Kobe, it is a player that "IF" you do hate him, your hating one of the most talented basketball players to ever play the game. It is like all the people who absolutely hated Jordan during his run, and it basically ruined 7 years of their basketball watching lives. Fact is Kobe has been the most talented player in the league for the last 7 years. The finesse, control, and shooting touch that he displays are second to none, and I can't wait to watch him during these finals.

May the best team win!!!

Shaq probably doesn't want Dwight Howard stealing his thunder.

Hilarious

June 4, 2009  09:46 AM ET

Of course he does...he would rather see Kobe win another title than watch his ex-coach, the Master of Panic win after all he said about him. He can always spin Kobe's win by saying he had a hand in developing the great player Kobe is today. Just reverse Shaqology!

This moment still makes me laugh. Shaq doesn't even aknowledge Kobe after the Alley-Oop. Haha, its no wonder Kobe hates this guy.

It's all just entertainment for the sake of the sponsors any how! Very little sport left, lots of players; not many sportsmen. The purity of the game was sacrificed years ago for the sake of the buck. I thought they had a dress code, if that's the case what was the Magic player doing on media day doing giving an interview in a tank top. Just overpaid thugs. Kobe belongs in jail and truth be known probably more that never get caught.
