The NCAA has opened its review of star basketball recruit Renardo Sidney, a Mississippi State athletic official said Thursday. Sidney, a 6-foot-10 power forward from Los Angeles Fairfax High, signed a letter of intent with Mississippi State last month after he was dropped as a recruit by UCLA and USC. Sidney had announced his plans to sign with USC. The family has said the split between player and school came by mutual decision.

If Tim Floyd drops you as a recruit you must have confirmed ties to the Taliban...

Floyd had nothing to do with his release. It was done by the people above him. If it was up to the jackhole, he would be on campus next year. I gotta dig up something so Floyd gets fired, before he REALLY craps the bed.

Fair enough and I have to believe that Mike Garrett has already got a few "contingency plans" in place on the coaching situation as well as Tim Floyd having his own "exit strategy" if the situation becomes untenable.

It seems after a comedy of errors by all parties Mississippi State was his last and only choice.

With all the early draftees, and the potential Mayo fallout...Ship has sail on that one. In fact, ship may be sinking, notice all the dead rodents floating in the water.

I smell a "rat", why would two schools desperate for a big time recruit let him go that fast? That easy? Then, he bolts from both West Coast schools to go to Mississippi State????

I'm not even sure that would do it.

FFB...where have you been my whole 655 posts? Or is this just like Christmas in June?

Reading the synopsis is very confusing to gather what's going...who's writing this crap? The NCAA investigating USC? To do what, wrist slap them and take their cookies? LOL, ain't nothing going to be done, they know it and we know it. NCAA's teacher's pet.

Since we're scrutinizing grammar and spelling...

It seems you missed the "on" in the common expression "what's going on."

"The NCAA investigating USC?" Is not a complete sentence.

"LOL" is so 9th grade texting.

and

"ain't nothing" is a double negative, so, since we take these errors so seriously on a ****ing sports blog...I guess you are implying that something will be done to USC.

and, oh yeah...byte me.

His family is originally from Mississippi. They moved out west a couple years back so his dad could pimp him to the shoe companies.
