Coveted QB recruit shifting to defense?

One of Arizona's top dual-threat quarterbacks has picked up football scholarship offers from Arizona State, Arizona, Washington, Boise State, Colorado, Colorado State, New Mexico and San Diego State. And they all want Avondale Westview's Jourdan Grandon as a defensive back. Grandon lacks the prototypical quarterback size at 6 feet, 185 pounds. But he's got a tremendous motor and great athleticism that colleges see him as an impact cornerback.

"But he's got a tremendous motor and great athleticism that colleges see him as an impact cornerback."

Have the grammar rules changed in the 300 years since I was in school? Is this a complete ****ing sentence? My English teachers would have said "no". It's at least awkward as hell. I know we posters get casual with stuff like grammar, spelling, typos, etc., but this was written by a (supposedly) professional journalist. Go learn the ****ing language if you want to be paid to use it. God, you semi-literate whippersnappers are annoying.

As to Mr. Grandon, I wish the kid the best of luck. I guess he should have the knowledge to make good defensive reads.

As long as they let him know they are recruiting him as a DB there is no problem here. Happens all the time.

As much as Russell Shepard wanted to play QB at Texas the coaches were very clear he would move to WR. Le Smiles told him he would get a shot at QB and voila he signed with LSU.

It's recruiting.

He should sign with TSUN

Sounds like the kid is an athlete. Best of luck to him.

Awkward Sentence--(-5 points).

Grammar is not important anymore, that`s why accurate communication is getting more & more difficult. But alas, nobody seems to care. Well we do--but that`s all.
