Tim Thomas, who will be paid $6.4 million next season, has told people close to him that he'd like to be moved to the Celtics. The 6-foot-10-inch, 240-pounder averaged 8.5 points and 3.1 rebounds and shot 41.3 percent from 3-point range with the Clippers, Knicks, and Bulls in 64 games last season.

i can't believe he has earned $84 million dollars his career.

he can be a bench scorer for a team, of course he wants to be a Celtic....if M.Moore can be one, Tim Thomas probably could too.

What a bum....lazy piece of crap.

June 8, 2009  07:27 AM ET

Sounds good. The Celtics are shopping Ray Allen, so the Bulls can trade Tim Thomas and Luol Deng for Ray Allen. The salaries match up and you're only on the hook for Ray Allen for 1 season, while dumping Deng's 5 years worth of salary. The Celtics get a young player, and the Bulls get a replacement for Ben Gordon. It's a win-win in my opinion.

I'd like to be an astronaut.

stupid teams keep over paying this career role player... its very sad to see how much money bums get in the league

As a Bull fan, I would be happy to pay your ticket to get to Btown

June 8, 2009  07:48 AM ET

Going from a team with a bright future to one the sun is setting on is not a wise move.

Yuup, the Clippers are that stupid. They signed him to a long term big fat contract after he had one good post season w/ the Suns.

He will have an occasional good game, and be a waste of space in the others. He has size and skills but some wires are crossed somewhere.

agree with most of the above bashers......

The guys that really piss me off are the ones that have so much
damn natural talent and COMPLETELY WASTE it.....

the guy is 6'10.....had the skills to be BETTER than Lamar Odom
but basically lost his drive...literally and figuratively >
ala Tmac - and was content to simply shoot 3's

What a disgrace-
And as I knick fan I had the 'pleasure' to see him for 2 stints

June 8, 2009  09:00 AM ET

If all these bums want to go to Boston, KG will request a trade back to Minnesota

June 8, 2009  09:02 AM ET

Thomas was positively awful (several turnovers, awkward jumpers) in the few minutes of playing time the Bulls gave him early in the Bull-Celts series. Bulls wisened up and didn't let him see any more hardwood after Game 2.

what are you smoking?

That was he will have officially played on every team

June 8, 2009  09:57 AM ET

Another example of a player that comes into the league with all this "talent" and is overpaid

June 8, 2009  10:17 AM ET

I'd like to be Gisele Bundchen.

What? What is with the NBA these days? All these old washed up guys get to pick what championship caliber team they play for? This BS all started with that idiot gary payton. Im glad it never worked out for Karl Malone. Thank God all NBA fans understand that Garnett was never as good as Tim Duncan and that KG could never even win a playoff series until they put two all stars on either side of him.
