Sorry, he had to have his nails done.

June 8, 2009  07:45 AM ET

He pulled a Marbury.

Good one NBDL rookie.

lol...brilliant tactics by a team picking 5-10....

Make everyone think he's a ****- stock falls to you.......
then GOBBLE HIM UP

I hope Charlotte picks you so can "blow people off" like Larry Brown

June 8, 2009  09:48 AM ET

Maybe so. I never liked his attitude although his game is legit. He was Gilbert Arenas already at ASU, imagine what some NBA dollars will do to him.

These pre draft issues are always overblown and mean nothing.

Sincerely, Vince Young

Elgin Baylor even thinks youre comment is stupid.

He is overrated...

Howard is a 6'4 shooting guard. In these tough economic times, it's probably not a good idea to be blowing off potential employers.

June 8, 2009  11:04 AM ET

Ahhh, the old unname sources trick. Yeah, I wonder do teams fall for this like people on FN. BTW, Hllywd who is "Howard"...at least if you are going to be lead around like a sheep...get the name right.

What did Harden hope to benefit by skipping interviews.

You could at leat get his name right. It's Harden. He's also 6-5, not 6-4, and is still going to be a lottery pick even if he did blow people off. So I don't think he needs to worry about these tough economic times. He'll be fine. But, he needs to adjust his attitude quickly, otherwise he's going to get very familiar with the bench.

FTR on comment 14 I called No English a jackass for correcting jgb saying youre comment is stupid and it got deleted. Weak puritan BS going on here.

Exactly, and he also needs to be a helluva lot more consistent when he is on the floor. If he disappears next year for stretches like he did during his ASU days, he and the bench will be able start making long term plans together real soon.

Sorry, my mind is a lot faster than my fingers. Draft Express lists Harden's pre-draft measurements as 6'4 without shoes. Since he isn't likely to be playing barefoot, I digress. He's 6'5. Still, his attitude is bigger than his talent at this point, and isn't likely to endear him to GMs. I don't even know the young man, and he sounds like a headcase to me.
