Right now anyone is better than who they have. Good news when you hit rock bottom you can only go up.........unless they have a shovel.

McClinton looked good in the NCAA tournament but will he really make a difference in the NBA?

June 9, 2009  09:00 AM ET

Don't know anything about him- but that picture makes him look like a power forward

June 9, 2009  09:05 AM ET

As a rookie free agent or as a pick late in the first round that they acquire? I only say that because no one has him anywhere near the 8th pick.

Given Nate Robinson's bonehead - y'd think the Knicks will learn and draft players with appropriate height...

June 9, 2009  10:51 AM ET

Who??

June 9, 2009  10:57 AM ET

Why????

June 9, 2009  11:23 AM ET

He can flat-out shoot the basketball. I can see him contributing a little bit in NYC.

Why waste a 1rd pick, even a late 1rd pick on him : Wait this is NY ! Jack McClinton, Miami (Fla.) SG 6' 0 3/4" 185.2 wt, ranked 59 out of 100 by ESPN Draft Projection: Second round to undraftedSimilarities: Salim StoudemirePositives: ???Big time 3-point shooter ???Deep range on his jumper ???Good midrange game ???Good motor Negatives: ???Undersized for his position, he a SG ???A little one-dimensional ???Doesn't attack the basket ???Not athletic enough to finish at the rim

Judging by this scouting report he's either going undrafted or as a second rounder. In any case that would be the only way he would be a Knick.

yuck

ive seen him play a couple times...impressive shooting but undersized for an NBA guard.

Question: why does D'Antoni think it's neccessary to "buy" a pick to get this guy? He should be around in the 2nd round. His best bet is Europe.

Ahh HELLO! Are all of you effed in your heads??? The section is called "Truth and Rumors". Nobody knows what D'Antoni and the Knicks have done. You fools are so preoccupied with your love of Knick bashing, you've lost your ability to reason.

stop bashing the knick bashers...lol

I agree with the first post- once you hit rock bottom, you can only go up. Lets see the Knicks do something since they actually hame some picks this year and then go out and win some games. Made for TV drama type of stuff there... lol

The Knicks are so devoid of talent, anyone with a pulse looks good to them.

kneejerk, you a bad man. Call them the way you see them bro.

In the last week, I have read that the Knicks will move up to take Curry, draft Flynn as their starting point guard of the future and now they are eying McClinton. Is it possible to take three players with one pick? Why not just say they are eying every guard in the draft? What a waste of a thread...

Chances are, he'll go undrafted. Just sign him then...
