07:23 AM ET 06.12 | Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress was much more reserved Thursday in his comments about Brett Favre, saying he talked to the quarterback last week and once again declined to close the door on the possibility of signing the future hall of famer. Childress did reverse course, however, when he said he doesn't talk to quarterbacks Tarvaris Jackson and Sage Rosenfels about Favre. On Wednesday, he told KFAN: "I've talked with Sage and Tarvaris. They're competitors. Do they like any of these conversations? Absolutely not."

I'll still take the over. They won 10 last year with a QB less talented than Old Favre. As long as they don't break Peterson running him 70 times a game, they'll still contend for the division.
