lol...very informative article-

What a blurb. He ain't coming, huh? Anyway, the Wolves are a team in flux right now. They might need a teaching type to come in, build them up, and if they get to a certain point, get pushed out the door for a coach with actual winning qualities.

The experienced coach may not apply for this job.

Do the Timberwolves PR department have a contract with SI?

June 24, 2009  09:09 AM ET

Why doint they try to hire Stan Van Gundy or Mark Jackson?

June 24, 2009  12:19 PM ET

I would walk too....

To me this is why the T-wolves org is jacked... nix that, the league is jacked.
How in the world can you make all these changes in roster and draft picks without selecting a coach first. then guess who's fault it is and who's the first to go when the experiment doesnt work.... just a silly cycle.

Round up the usual suspects...

Not a bad analogy. It would have made some since to at least have an idea for a replacement before firing the current coach. Now what happens if the new coach wants to run a triangle offense for example?

Van Gundy isn't a bad choice. Jackson isn't ready to take over a team in transition, and be successful.

they waited way too long to let Kevin M go, they should have gotten a coach in place first, now they have to react with the draft comming.
They need a solid, proven teacher in place as coach.
