02:06 PM ET 06.24 | The Nuggets' top priorities are re-signing center Chris Andersen and likely working on a contract extension with coach George Karl, according to NBA sources. Andersen played last season on a one-year, $998,398 contract. He likely will get a multiyear deal, and Denver could give Andersen an extra year if it means paying him less money next season to help with the salary cap. The team has yet to sit down and make an offer to Karl, who has one year left on his contract. Meanwhile, the agent for unrestricted free agent Dahntay Jones said the "goal" is for Jones to return to Denver, but that Jones desires a multiyear deal. He signed with Denver last summer for one year at $926,678. "I think Dahntay would like to make a home, feel like he'll be a part of something for a long period of time," agent Mark Bartelstein said. "We're not going to rule out anything else, but he'd prefer a lengthy deal. ... We'll go through the world of free agency. He's proven he can be a really valuable piece to a very good team. Those guys are important."
