for a minute i thought they meant rodney. after calling out Favre in another thread, that would have been interesting.

Lol, that would have been!
As for Marvin, he should just retire a Colt. Don't ruin his tremendous career by switching teams when he won't be the impact player he was. It looks sad.

Smart move since Favre's is coming back an should, he a Legend an is still ntr than 75% of the QB's in the League an almost nonoe throw as hard plus he knows the Vikings Offence, has the Best RB in A. Peterson, a Top 3-O Line, Top 3-D up front, Berrian going deep, Harvin will make some things happen an if Issac Bruce can have a 800 Yard Yr wth the 49er's Harrision could hve his last one. They'd take the North an beat Green Bay twice. The guys is Healthy enough to come back, has the will, an can make the Vikings a Legit SB cotender.

Good. Brett and Marvin can sit on the porch in their rocking chairs and swap war stories. Spanish-American War stories.
Might as well bring George Harrison back from the dead. This is not an old man's game, guys. Give it up.

That would be a dumb move.

As a Colts fan, I loved watching Harrison perform in his prime. Some of his catches were unbelievable. That being said, he has lost a step. . . or two. . . or three. Those knees are not what they used to be. He could be a great mentor to the younger WRs, but think his days of making a significant impact on the field are over. It's shame; he was really incredible to watch.

I think he could help them for a season especially since he would be able to still play in a dome

The vikes must be building a retirement community in their facility... I know you're getting desperate Brad but this isn't the way to go.

If Favre were indeed to sign there, this makes a little sense for a 1-year deal. Otherwise, none at all.
Of course, anything the Viqueens do that makes no sense finds favor with this sector.

If it's a one year deal for a little money why not? He could still be an effective possession-type receiver

If they can pull off Favre and Harrison...WOW! Marvin may have lost a step, but I'll take a good, wiley vet vs. a young, inexperienced DB any day.

Jerry Rice did it at 39-40...Why can't Marvin? I mean, in the NFL history books, Marvin is the second to third greatest wideout to play the game. Everyone is quick to throw in the towel with veterans these days. Guarantee if signed with the right team, he'll have a 1,000+

Jerry also took phenomenal care of his body, and didn't crumple like tin foil if he was hit a few times. Marvin shies away from contact more than anyone I've seen.
The Vikes would have been better signing T.O. You get better production, without the risk of losing him to a suspension due to shooting someone.
Yeah, I went there.

I agree. Getting TO would have been the better option but unfortunately Brad has bad memories of the TO in Philly debacle.
