only 25%? I'm willing to bet a higher amount....canseco, giambi, mcgwire, tejada....all have ties to the A's. I'm sure I'm leaving off a few but all these guys were high profile. Plus, their just down the road from Balco.

WHO CARES. Everybody was doing it. Management knew about it and encouraged it. The League knew about and smiled while they counted the cash. MOVE ON for crying out loud.

this is kind of like that Chris Rock joke about guys expecting a reward or a "cookie" for doing the right thing or in the context of his joke about semi-deadbeat fathers saying "I take care of my kids and stay out of jail." Laaa-di-Freakin' da.
Canseco had plenty of chances to get paid, and he did get paid. He just blew all of his money on smashing up his $100k Italian sports cars chasing his now ex-wife around town. He's a mess.

i think canseco is a joker, but as a baseball fan I like having around...he's the only one who seems to know what is really going on with the steroid problem.

Seems like he is the only one trying to tell it like it is anyway. The League is hoping to keep all of the names secret for as long as possible. They knew what was going on, and they gave it their blessing with inaction.

MLB bitter toward Canseco

Being poor must make Jose bitter. That is the only reason why he is upset. If someone (anyone - me/you/etc) handed him a large sum of money for no reason, he'd leave. He could care less about forgiveness/reputation/etc. You only want that dollar.

To be fair, they should have invited him to the reunion of the 1989 World Series team. Then, to be even fairer, they should have invited the earthquake as well.
