DEA investigating Manny & doctor

The DEA has initiated an administrative review of a Miami-area physician who investigators suspect wrote a prescription for the banned drug used by Manny Ramirez, who is scheduled to complete his 50-game suspension next week. "At this point, we don't know what we've got," the source said. Authorities believe Dr. Pedro Publio Bosch's son, Anthony Bosch, may have served as a liaison between the doctor and Ramirez. Baseball sources told The News that the son is friendly with Latin-American players and has ties to player agents.

MJ fan DUM DUM?

i haven't been a fan of MJs since the early 90s but he had so many personal issues and I seem to have forgotten about how big and great this guy was back in the 70s/80s. To me, this is like Elvis dying and I'm a huge Elvis fan.

Forget about all of the allegations and bizarre behavior and you have an immensely talented individual that entertained millions. Also donated many millions to causes throughout the world. Its too bad his image is what it was (a lot by his own doing) for the past 15 yrs. The guy made a lot of people happy and will be missed.

People have been saying that with the feds going after the doctor's, it may decrease the steroids...

Personally, I think people will go to more shady individuals now. Might be more likely to have some life changing events occur..

I remember his performance on Motown's 25th anniversary special. That was really something. Thriller in the early 80s was a masterpiece ... but yeah, as his looks got more and more bizarre, and he started hanging around with little kids ... it was kind of like watching a train wreck. His death immediately overshadowed Farrah's.

And she was an icon in her own right in the 70's. I was a little young in the 70's to remember a lot, but my cousins all had her poster up... IT wasn;t until Brinkley, and Cheryl Tiegs/Ladd came around, that people kind of forgot Farrah as a symbol..

I was watching some of the coverage on him last night and I vividly remember the excitement that he caused when he appeared no these programs. Althought MTV was around stars were not as overexposed as they are today. It wasn't like he was a appearing on some show to perform every other night. And who didn't own Thriller? Something I read last night said that Thriller became a staple in households and that is true...everyone had it.....and loved it. So many people mimiced his dancing and clothing....even silly white boys like me.

I was only 6 or 7 when Farah was on that poster.....i began to admire that a few years later.

Too huge pop culture icons on one day....

Yeah, they better hold on to Penney. Use one of the kids on the farm to fill in that Smoltz/Dice-K slot if necessary.
