Henry on way out of Tennessee?

Chris Henry landed with the Titans because of his blazing speed, but his world came to a screeching halt last season. The running back watched 16 of the 17 games from the sideline in street clothes. Calendar pages turned as if in slow motion. There's one thing Henry doesn't want to consider, though it's something that can't be ignored: He might not make it to the season. The Titans simply can't wait forever on his potential, not with a set of hungry backs behind the proven duo of Chris Johnson and LenDale White.

If Lendale White doesn't get in better shape, they may decide it better to have 2 lightening fast RBs, than one fast RB and a bowling ball.

That's why you dont draft a non-productive running back in the second round just because he ran a 4.4 in the 40

Lendale White is Hungry He might eat his team Up.

He can still contribute on special teams. Besides, wait a few weeks until other teams start having their RB's going down and get some value for your pick.

I think you're on to something. If they feel he's a true player, but they just don't have a place for him with Johnson and White starting, they'll keep him for insurance and eventually trade him later in the season to a deperate team for a decent draft pic.

Travis is a washed up pot smoker he's going to warm the bench again this year

This was a wasted pick. I like Henry but the Titans lack imagination sometimes. And with LenDale White really playing for a new contract, Henry could be more valuable than first thought.

PP my friend - the Titans lack imagination?

Didn't they imagine Vince Young would be an elite quarterback?

That is some serious imagining in my book.

Never happen. In season he is worth a seventh round pick ( Ryan Grant had ten times the resume of this guy and that is what he was worth in season trade when the Giants had too many good RBs). AND, the next team has to pick up the contract of a guy the Titans signed as a second round pick.
He will be a Titan, or he will be released. I suspect they keep him all year.

They have Chris Johnson, they do not need Henry. At this point he carries very little, if any, trade value. Release him and be done with it.

Odd to think a successful team like the Titans can have a number one ( VY ) on the bench and a number two ( Henry) not even suited up most of the time. Go figure.

I still don't understand how Lendale White is so highly regarded. Am I missing something? He seems immature, self centered, and he cannot get decent yardage if he doesn't have outstanding blocking.

June 26, 2009  01:45 PM ET

On a positive note, they don't have to play the Ravens this year.

Just to clear up the pot smoke in your room. Chris Henry is the topic here, not Travis. If you want to be in the conversation you must keep up!

A lot of press over a guy who averages 47 yards a game and 3.9 yards a carry. Luckily for him he is on a team that run blocks well.

How dare you say that about a great, former USC Trojan! JK ;-)
I agree, he's done nothing to warrant the hype. I didn't realize Chris Henry was still around. I thought Lendale ate him ...
