08:10 AM ET 06.27 | Michael Jackson played a significant role in Robert Kraft becoming the owner of the Patriots. Puzzled? A Forbes magazine feature story on Kraft from September 2005 spells it all out, detailing how the a disastrous business venture by the Sullivan family -- the founding owners of the franchise -- indirectly helped Kraft fulfill his dream of owning the Patriots. Kraft's opportunity may have been lost -- until a failed venture with Jackson and his musical family forced the Sullivans' hand in 1988. Charles Sullivan had used the stadium as collateral to fund the Jackson brothers' Victory Tour back in 1984. Over-leveraged, Sullivan went bankrupt and was forced to sell the arena.

I'm sorry, and maybe I'm alone on this, but pictures of Michael Jackson with a group of kids don't look right to me. I guess because they are all little girls it's less bad, but still...

And, for clarification, I'm not implying that it's ok to touch little girls. Jackson's accusers have all been male to my knowledge. That's what I was getting at.

I agree. I know he's donated a lot of money to charity and was a great entertainer, but he did horrible things to children. It surprises me how many people actually defend this guy.

Now that he is dead I am sure he will get credit for saving the world from the evil empire of the republicans.

When the fact is he liked to have sleep with children.

At least he never cheated on his wife like party of "family values - republicans" are doing

At least the governor of South Carolina fessed up shortly after he returned. Several years ago, there was this high profile guy from the Democratic Party who was accused of having an affair. He denied, and then after further investigation, finally admitted to it.

No worries. I think anyone who victimizes children is fair game. . . forever.
