Nuggets to offer Kleiza

The Nuggets are expected to extend a qualifying contract offer to forward Linas Kleiza, which would mean roughly $2.7 million for him for one season, and the Nuggets retain his restricted free agent status. Kleiza's stats were down across the board last season after a promising 2007-08 campaign when it appeared he was one of the NBA's rising stars.

Kleiza is one of those people that if he gets in the right situation, he could even become 6th man of the year...

If the bidding doesn't get out of control I could see many teams making offers. He has definate skills, he just might not be in the best place for him. Guys with his size that have his natural stroke usually get paid. Also, he's a scorer, not just a spot up bomber.

Good player off the bench...the Nuggs should keep him and give him more minutes than that **** JR Smith....

Dude JR's a way better scorer than Kleiza. Kleiza's good, but not amazing, like JR CAN be.

Better than Smith? That's a bit of a stretch, but for $2.7 million he's a keeper.

How dumb do the Nuggets look for trying to bank on this guy's potential instead of trading for Artest last year? Nuggets would be world champions right now if they would have made that trade, there's no doubt about it.

you mean a good team ?
lol
If he can't earn minutes & beat out his teammates for minutes
- what does that tell you ?

The nuggets need to simply TWEAK things....
LK is a good asset for them-
he will be signed and moved

I would see if they could trade Smith, Kleiza & Jones for Joe Johnson

Linas Kleiza is a really good player. Not as good as J.R., but he's good enough so that when he's on the court he helps create offense. This is good news for Denver. What's not good news is that we still have Anthony Carter on the team. That's the guy that needs to be cut. Thank you Ty Lawson. If Ty Lawson fits with the offense and J.R. and Kleiza continue to improve, we will be serious contenders next year.

I hope he stays with the Nuggets. He is a good piece to have in your team

i dont complete agree with you because melo and arrtest have the same natrual position but it would still have been a great trade for denver because artest is way better the kleiza

I like kleiza a lot! He has a lot of talent! He can make the shots that he takes most of the time that is!! Hah hah hah!

For less than 3 mil hell keep him. But don't sign him to anything long term. He makes great trade bait. Plus if he dose stay he's cheap labor. Talking about a still. I don't see the nuggets keeping him pass the nest season. Let some dumb eastern team sign him. Let Bird and the great White Pacers. Just Larry's type. Big, white, role player. There's a lot of great white ball players. But this is up Birds Tree. Or Nest. Or Whatever.
