Earthquakes threatening West Coast U.S. Opens?

10:34 AM ET 06.28 | When asked if last week's rains at Bethpage Black make West Coast U.S. Opens look more appealing, USGA executive director David Fay said, "After a week like the last one? Sure, dry clothes and clean shoes are a plus. But while you may not deal with rain and thunderstorms on the West Coast, fog can gum things up. And there's that little thing called earthquakes. I like the idea of the Open and all our championships being movable feasts."

Yeah, because people don't play golf EVERY FRICKIN DAY on the west coast. Pebble Beach seems to have survived major earthquakes. And so could the US Open.
