Knew this would happen at some point. He was pitching crazy numbers of innings early in his Japanese career. Name one starting pitcher from Japan in MLB that hasn't seen their numbers drop off ridiculously after a few years in the states.

blame it on the time zone change ... it's tomorrow in Japan already ....

Matsuzaka appeared convinced that a Japanese shoulder is different from an American shoulder.


I thought the Japanese started teaching a doctrone of ethnic equality post-WWII...

So.. I huess we are chalking up his poor performance to the shoulder problems. Hope that's it.
