Bobcats likely to keep Felton

Charlotte Bobcats managing partner Michael Jordan might not speak often with the media, but when he does he's generally pretty candid. Most recent example -- Raymond Felton's impending free-agency. Here's what Jordan said about re-signing Felton to a long-term deal: "I don't see any situation where he's not with us," Jordan replied. "I anticipate us keeping Raymond Felton, without a doubt." That reflects how much Felton won over coach Larry Brown and, by extension, Jordan, too.

FIRST!!! (and probably last)

They need a PG so it would make sense to keep Felton unless they get guys like Andre Miller or JKidd.

Bobcats shud do better than last season - mid season trades usually take away from chemistry a bit.

Even with DJ Augustin you still have to keep Felton around.

hopefully they make the playoffs

Of course Felton is going to stick around - he went to North Carolina just like Mike!!

The Bobcats have tried to move Felton for 2 years. I think Jordan's statement simply means he isn't satisfied with any offers he's received.

I diagree-
look at their roster-
they have Maxed out with as far as they can go.....
- they had a REAL good year last year- but there
simply is not enough 'real' talent on that squad to ever
compete for a ring......

Wallace is a player- not a 'star'....
and Okafur is a nice PF....again...not a 'star' or a real scorer
but the rest of that team is a bunch of back-ups that Brown
got to play over their heads....

let him hit FA and see what his real value is.....
no way should they consider giving him big $$$ if all they
are doing is bidding against themselves

Exactly, Felton is the point-guard of the future!

Why on earth would they trade him, he played really well last year.

This year is the step back year for the Bobcats-I like Okafor but he is limited big time-they're paying him big time $$$ too. They need another stud to ride with Wallace. If that doesnt happen you are looking at a 35 win season tops...

You rip the Bobcats for not winning and your from Cleveland? Choke city. The Bobcats have only been a franchise for 5 YEARS. Winning takes time for expansion teams. Felton grew up in North Carolina, brought UNC back to glory and WANTS to stay in Charlotte. If Cleveland really wanted him they should of done it when they had the chance during last season. According to the Felton's agent via the Charlotte Observer, Charlotte is his #1 choice.
