Rutgers grabs another OL recruit

Rutgers coach Greg Schiano apparently can't have enough beef along his offensive line. The Scarlet Knights picked up their fourth offensive line commitment for the 2010 season Monday from Frank Quartucci of Hamilton West High School. The 6-4, 290-pound offensive guard will join a rapidly growing list of offensive linemen recruits for Rutgers.

Any college program worth its weight would want to have 3-4 OL recruits each year. This is not news. Besides, kids only 290. That's not beefy yet. Wait till he adds another 30 lbs.

JRM> is that the creepy cowboy in the background photo.

Why would anyone in NJ wear a cowboy hat? Plus, real cowboys don't have neatly trimmed beards. Yeah, the guy's creepy.

More importantly, who's the avatar? You got a larger picture to share?

Less importantly (the actual thread), who gives a s*** about Rutgers? Or the "Big" East?

I just realized what that Schiano photo reminds me of--- the guy on the left in this photo:

OK, outside of their member campuses and communities, few folks give a patutie about Big East football. I'm happy for those folks who have Big East football instead of none. The teams have been improving, and like the ACC, the hierarchy of the conference is a question mark.

Also, I'm of the opinion that Northwestern and Purdue would fair better as members of the Big East than they will as perrinial also-rans in the Obese 11.

"the teams have been improving"??? i'd guess this is based on your extensive knowledge of college football since what 2004? While they may have had some down years recently I'd invite you to review the CFB history of Syracuse, Pittsburgh, and West Virginia. Get back to me when you see how your favorite school stacks up against Donovan McNabb, Jim Brown, Marvin Harrison, Dan Marino, etc.

See, the rest of us compare a school to another school, not a school to an entire conference.
You challenge Tin Man to compare the best players from his favorite school against players from different Big East teams. (Was it that hard to make a list of great players for one school?)
Come up with a list of All Americans and/or NFL standouts who played for the Mountaineers (none on your list, I noticed-- just three from Syracuse and one from Pitt) and get back to us.
As a Bengals fan, I have to say "thanks a lot for Chris Henry". Dang, what a thug.
