06:54 AM ET 07.01 | After fatally striking a pedestrian on the MacArthur Causeway in a March drunk driving accident, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte' Stallworth also tested positive for marijuana use, law enforcement sources say. Stallworth, 28, is serving one month in jail after pleading guilty last month to DUI manslaughter. Miami-Dade prosecutors say his blood alcohol level was .126, well above the legal limit, when his Bentley hit and killed Mario Reyes, 59, on the morning of March 14. Stallworth's test results, which have yet to be released, showed traces of marijuana, according to sources with knowledge of the results.

It won't effect his legal case, but I'm sure old Rodger will have something to say about it when it comes time for him to decide when/if to lift the suspension.

The situations these guys get into just boggles the mind. If you want to get drunk and smoke some weed, hire a driver, you idiot! You can afford it.

This news is just so shocking. Almost as shocking as finding out that water is wet, Popes are catholic and bears use the woods as outhouses.

One month in jail? Wow. Isn't it great that ordinary citizens get the same treatment in a court of law for the same crime? Oh wait....

Drink booze, smoke pot, kill someone, pay off the family......you will go to jail for 30 DAYS!

Beware.....

They must all shudder at the possibility of that sentence.

Every time I read something else about this boob I get even angrier. I hope he never plays football again.

In all fairness to Stallworth, marijuana can be detected in your body over a month after use.

Having said that, Ricky Williams got one year for the pot alone, so Stallworth should get, what, 350 years?

thing about pot is it is stored in your fatty cells alone...so i would assume his was more recent than 30 days before that.

I think he would have hit the guy even if he was sober. I mean, if he had been driving to church, would we be blaming God??

I dont understand people. If you know you will be drug tested randomly, and know that there is a chance you could be suspended or whatever from your job.. why even smoke the crap ?
What the hell is the big fascination with being high ?
I dont understand why someone wouldnt want to be lucid during the majority of their waking hours

You and Stallworth must be smoking from the same pipe.

It isn't that difficult.

That's a good question. However, pot is at least psychologically addictive, if not physically addictive as some recent studies suggest. Also, the pot cultivated today has 3 times the THC that pot of the 60's and 70's had.

All that being said, you would think that the loss of income, being suspended from the league, spending time in jail, etc...would be motivation to enter a program of some kind to stay away from it. However, from my son's own personal experience and the nightmare existence we have lived through as a family, it's easier said than done.

It is the human condition. They tried prohibition some years back, remember. How did that work?

If you have the commitment and dedication to make it to the NFL, It should be quite easy to quit smoking weed. Especially with all the resources you have. Heck, I quit smoking the stuff and cigarettes after using the stuff for a few years cold turkey with no additional resources. My only motivation was to get a better job. These guys can't quit the stuff to keep their dream job? Come on, the problem is their ego is so huge and they think they'll never get caught and their above the law. Stallworth better get ready for a nice long unpaid vacation

What a complete dumb(_!_) I quit pot for a 14 dollar an hour job, and he can't quit for 7.6 mil(??? I know that's his cap for this coming year) a year job. Heck it may be Cleveland but that's still not an excuse...or is it.
