The Knicks will try to use their $5.7 million mid-level exception on Phoenix's Grant Hill, who accepted an invitation to New York Monday for a recruiting visit, according to a source.

um Grant Hill has earnt over 126 million US dollars during his playing career - that's like the price of 5 cities in Zimbabwe.

i seriously doubt at this point of his career he would choose the Knicks. His choice though, i guess winning a championship isn't a priority and he wants to help the young players out and rebuild.

What will the Knicks possibly do with Grant Hill? Make the playoffs? No!

and how pathetic is that ??

My question is why would the knicks want HIM ?
all he will do is take minutes away from Chandler who still
needs to DEVELOP....

With the over-inflation of the dollar in Zimbabwe I think Grant could buy that whole country right about now.

Anyway, if Grant doesn't return to Phoenix you would assume he's going to a contender and that ain't the New York Knicks.

Grant Hill? Please no... If Chandler is being shipped out we better get a proven ALL STAR as chandler is a year or two away from that.

I think with our situation we need to sit tight and see where the chips fall. There will be useful players out there with no contracts to choose from... and oh I don't mean Stephon Marbury. May his basketball career rest in peace.

ummmmmmmmmm for what

July 2, 2009  12:35 PM ET

It's the D"A connection. I don't know if this wil be a good thng for NY. Good luck Ny.

Veteran minimum for Hill, mid level exception for Kidd... those world war I vets make the Knicks a legitimate playoff team...now let the hating from Ohio begin...

What possible appeal does NY hold for Grant Hill?

The chance to play for a coach that relaly believes in him as well as an escape from the Suns' management.

WHY??????WHY???????????

July 2, 2009  02:54 PM ET

Between Hill and Kidd, the Knicks are successfully recreating the 1999 All-Star team.

This can't be accurate. Grant is a great guy, and from the great Duke U, but not now Knickerbockers. NOT NOW!

Don't want him. He'll go up for a three and shatter his vertebrae.

Let him coach the Knicks. He might do better.

From a character perspective, it's been a while since the Knicks have had someone like Grant in the locker room and for that reason alone I'd consider it. Otherwise I don't know where the leadership comes from.
