Sal Zizzo would be a great name for a porn director. Like, "Sal Zizzo presents Busty Lesbian Coeds 14."

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Fenerbache is better. Ajax is a sinking ship at this point. But they could turn it around.

Exactly. They CAN turn it around. We're talking about a team that has been champions of Europe four times, and has produced some of the greatest players in history. Hell, John O'Brien came through their youth system and I think most of us agree that he was probably the MVP of the 2002 World Cup for the Nats. I would love this move for Gooch if it happens.

Oh, well my bad. I thought you were one of those people who overrates him because of a couple good games at the U-20 world cup.

Either way he is a quality player that should be looked at for the Men's team.

I think he would have been a good player for the Gold Cup roster, but I'm sure his situation at Hannover prevented that from happening.

It sucks because these past couple of years sidemidfielders or wingers have been ignored for the Men's team. Just recently has he called up wingers like Holden, Rogers, Arnaud, and Quaranta. Hopefully he gets the idea that wing play will always lead to quality football. If you look at most of our goals at the Confeds. Cup they were either crossed or set up from the wing-side. One thing that we are missing for the team is players that can put in quality crosses. Donovan and Spector were the only consistant players to put in crosses that were effective.

Also if you look at previous tournaments where we played successfully or decent. They were mainly due to the fact that we had quality play from the wing-side.

2002 WC: Players like Donovan, Lewis, Jones, Beasley, Stewart, Sanneh were all effective when they were running from the side of midfield. All of these players ran up and down the wings and put in excellent crosses, does anyone remember Lewis's cross to Lando against Mexico? Pure class.

2007 U-20 WC: We all remember the incridible wing play at tournament where players like Adu, Zizzo, Rogers, and Sztela practically dominated the wings.

2008 Olympics: Even though we flopped out due to bad coaching decisions by Peter Nowak it shouldnt take anything away from the players. One of the main reasons why we did so well was because players like Holden, Rogers, Adu, and Wynne ran tiredlessly up the flanks. Does anyone remeber how lethal Rogers and Wynne were?

2009 Confederations Cup: Even though we only had 2 players that were effective on the wings it proved enough to actually be a big impact. Donovan's runs on the flanks were excelent and Spector's crosses were of high quality. Maybe Bob should actually develop more players like these and stop stocking up in that Center Midfield position.

I totally agree. This current US team doesn't have great wing play. And crosses are very important, especially to a team like the US, which relies on athleticism and physicality.

I threw up a soccer TD basically covering American sports fans who like to bash soccer. Its basically asking why are they so Fcvkin ignorant and threatned of soccer. Heres the link to let them know to quit with all that BS. Because Im pretty sure soccer fans are sick of people on this site trying to trash talk the sport.

"People who dont like Soccer should keep it at that and shouldnt try to bash it every chance they get "

Good luck to him - I hope he can make the transition to the 2. Bundesliga. Fortuna need to keep their momentum if they hope to get back on par with their great rivals at 1.FC Koeln.

Onyewu - Ajax would be a better option than Fenerbahce due to the visibility factor alone. Turkish football can be a black hole at times given the horrible media coverage - especially if the player doesn't see playing time in European competition.
