Miami couldn't land two of its Class of 2010 quarterback targets -- Dallas Lloyd (orally committed to Stanford, but said he still might visit UM) and Andrew Hendrix (Notre Dame). But UM is a finalist -- with Stanford and Wisconsin -- for top New Jersey quarterback Joseph Brennan.

Tall at 6'4" but a little light in the shorts at 178. Room to grow. 3* 5.5 RR. Not the highest ranked guy but I always remember a lowly ranked 3* guy who came to Texas in 06 and has been setting records ever since. The question becomes how hard will the guy work.

University of Miami's glory days are gone for a loooooooong while. They should aim more to the mid-level quarterbacks. The days of landing top talent has sailed. Aim lower guys, you are no longer hurricanes, but a good tropical storm can still do damage.

We are set at QB right now... Jacory is gonna suprise a lot of people this year. ACC is ours!

I can not understand some comments made against the Hurricanes. No matter what happens with Miami even while they are still down there are some forms of haters out there. Miami can be down but not for long. Every expert can agree on what thing that Florida is the top area, then in the top three for most talented areas. I guess if you hate Miami now then your going to hate them more by the end of this season coming up since I see more wins in this season. Have a nice day! Yes thats right, GO CANES

For all those Canes across our beloved country good times are coming. We have taken some lumps lately but the Hurricane that causes more damage to college football teams is the Hurricanes that is derived from Miami. Rock you like a Hurricane!

As a USF Bulls alum, and long time Canes fan, I have to agree that the Canes are working their way back up. I'd still love to see USF beat UM, but I'm glad we're at least playing UM, FSU and UF now.

I will be at the Canes game in Tampa this year...should be awesome. Hope Selvie gets to Harris plenty of times, but would love to see the Canes win the ACC. GO BULLS!

That's what they said about tall, but skinny Sammy Bradford and he won some trophy or something last year!

where are all the "U" posters?

July 10, 2009  03:45 PM ET

Hmm....the "U" will need to get better to get all their fair weather friends to return to the threads....

July 10, 2009  03:45 PM ET

Even though I despise the "u", I'll help them get to at least page 2

July 10, 2009  03:46 PM ET

So, how's the weather in your neck of the woods?

July 10, 2009  03:46 PM ET

Are any fans going to the Dolphins/Marlins games or are they all fair weather fans, too?
