Cutler puts off endorsements
Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has put off any talk about endorsement deals so he can concentrate on his new teammates and the playbook. There's a perfectly good reason Cutler hasn't been seen or heard doing commercial spots for car manufacturers, hotel chains or anything else. He's not interested, at least not right now.s about endorsement deals so he can concentrate on his new teammates and the playbook. He already is one of the most popular and recognizable athletes in a city with plenty of big-name players. But capitalizing on that popularity commercially isn't an immediate priority for Cutler.

Smart move, Jay. I hope Cutler makes Coach McDaniels regret those bone-headed moves he made in the offseason with Denver.

Steve McNair is murdered and FN wants to post about Jay Cutler's endorsements? Disgraceful.

Perhaps they're doing it out of respect. When there is a thread about a tragedy like that, it's easy for us to put in a lot of speculation and tarnish the image of someone before we know all the facts. They actually have an article on the Sports Illustrated page. I think it's a smart move.

So should FN make one post about McNair today and then shut down? Why is it disgraceful?

To write about something that actually happened and is true is against everything FN stands for.

All the Haters can say what they want, but this shows that Cutler is serious about learning the new offense and building a chemistry with the team over what is probably some HUGE $$$$$ endorsements.

After the 49er won their 1st Super bowl-XVI-Joe Montana was featured in dozens of commercials, making lots of $. the next year the team stunk it up,so Joe quit doing commercials almost entirely throughout his career. Peyton Manning wins the Super bowl MVP & his silly persona, acting like Little Abner, was all over the tube. Yes, since then, he's toned it down somewhat, but he still loves to see himself acting goofy on the screen. He should stop this nonsense & concentrate on football. Jay Cutler is smart to let his arm do the talking. Like all successful NFL QB's, he making a ton of $ so doesn't need to focus on commercials. After Jay takes the Bears to the playoffs this year( & he will) maybe he can do one or two appearances, but please, let the kid concentrate on just winning. After all, a lot of pundits have written off the "Man With a Golden Arm," as being too selfish & a cry-baby...

Yah, cause Cutler has shown he totally doesn't care about money. Come on! His image was tarnished by his whining out of Denver and his agent wisely has put things on the back burner to give his rep a chance to rebound with a (hopefully for them) good year in Chicago. Believing anything else is just naive.

A Beverly Hills guy? Sure, you're one who knows all about hustling for a buck don't you?
Just maybe a guy like Cutler, who was raised in the Mid-West has a few more morals than you...

Yeah McDaniels did not lie to the media and his star quarterback about trying to trade him. McDaniels over a week would not talk to Jay but send him a text message. Yet McDaniels was all over Denver TV and NFL Network at that time taunting his QB. McDaniels whole actions has shown he is more of a weasel than Lane Kiffen ever was and is.
Look at all the other trades and players McDaniels has been trying to dump the best offensive players of the team he took over?
Cutler got traded because McDaniels wanted less of a run and gun QB. Why do you think he grabbed Chris Simms and Orton?
Cutler is a better QB than both, he stood around with 3 years having one of the worst Defenses in the NFL put up great numbers. His defense was non existent, teams win games and no Defense means you are half a team.
Cutler wanted to leave seems he was the smart one other players are trying to leave the Titanic Broncos right now too. McDaniels is going to be one of the worse coaches in NFL history just watch.
Cutler is going to kick some ass in Chicago they finally have QB.

They posted a story about how Cutler wants to focus on the playbook and getting ready for the upcoming season. No more disgraceful than posts about Cleveland's coordinator, the 'Boys backfield or Favre's surgeon.

You heard it here. McDaniels will reap what he sows. The Kyle Orton led Bronco's will go 6-10 or worst & a McDaniels dummy will be lynched & burned in the parking lot. The Bears, led by Jay Cutler, go 11-5 & build up steam while headed to the NFC playoffs. Pat Bowlen, I thought you were smarter than this
