Remember Jannero Pargo? The Bulls do. Pargo, who spent parts of the 2003-04, 2004-05, 2005-06 seasons with the Bulls, is in discussions to sign a one-year deal to help offset the loss of Ben Gordon, who has verbally committed to the Pistons. League sources confirmed the Bulls are hopeful to sign Pargo. Pargo, who spent last season overseas, is a career 37 percent three-point shooter who could fill the role of a space-the-floor shooter for Derrick Rose that also comes at cheap price.

this guy is an enigma......
Not sure why he bounces around the globe- when he HAS
NBA talent to be a solid 6th man on a GOOD team- and could
start for you on a bad one....

He'll help chicago- but I'm not sure why 'better' teams aren't
offering him deals.....say Boston- who he would be PERFECT for

Hey, why don't they do a package deal with bot Pargo's coming to town.

Agree all the way! Good player!

Pargo is another Hllywd pick, and comes complete with my certificate of authenticity. Pargo will get his chance, and make a lot of people sorry they passed him up. I wanted him in Miami 2 years ago. A solid backup to Chris Paul 2 years ago--he averaged 10.3 points in 12 playoff games and hit some really big three-point shots in game 7 of the Western Conference Semi-Finals vs. the Spurs. He plays both guard positions, and could help the Celtics, the Magic, or the Heat.

And he's got to play better defense than Gordon.

They had him, they lost him and now they want him back?

Well, they lost Gordon so now they want him back. Even the Lakers were trying to get him back last season when Jordan Farmar went down and the Sasha Vujajic back up PG experiment fizzled. He's a good player and I would love the Lakers to get him back.

Who?? just kidding but still irrelevant...

July 5, 2009  02:06 PM ET

He's a pretty good player, more teams should want him.

I think Pargo is not an enigma. Not as much as the NBA teams are enigmatically dumb in letting this guy go....

New Orleans, his last NBA team had a good thing going with him...but they didn't want to spend ANYthing on him and instead, a lot of dough on you-know-who. And ever since, they struggled many times to score when Paul sits. Antonio Daniels isn't working out for them apparently.

Chicago is wise in getting this guy. One year deal gives him good motivation to prove he can score with the best of them. Then, they will let him go just when he proves it again for the tenth friggin time!

July 5, 2009  02:56 PM ET

Everywhere Pargo's played, they always miss him when he's gone. He's the polar opposite of Ricky Davis.

July 5, 2009  03:10 PM ET

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if jannero signs with the bulls.. this will help them out a lot, great pick up for the bulls.. bulls have a good player at the 2 guard spot with john salmons... I dont know why people are saying bulls are going to suck next year.. we lost a player with lack of defense and no basketball I.Q what so ever.. dont get me wrong BG was a big help but it's not that big of a loss.

hahaha....good one!

July 5, 2009  06:24 PM ET

Ya. Boston should be tryin to get him, since they lost Marbury. And Pargo > Marbury!

July 5, 2009  06:43 PM ET

if my bulls just drafted wayne ellington...we wouldnt have this problem

He is a real stud on a team he can fit in. I remember how he killed my MAVS on the last playoffs he played with NOH. The guy can really shot. I think more effective than RASUAL BUTLER on those days. He is the real X-factor of that series. Lucky are the BULLS if they can get him for a bargain price. But he can NEVER replace a BEN GORDON. And as (17) said, WAYNE ELLINGTON could be that hope. But BULLS fans should be over with it already.

Anthony Parker would be a good replacement for Ben Gordon, but Pargo could also work out well.
