06:03 AM ET 07.13 | Despite a widespread belief that the Vikings would pull the curtain off the Brett Favre statue later this week, in advance of the July 20 date on which single-game tickets will go on sale, it now appears that Favre possibly won't be making a decision (or, as the case may be, announcing a decision that already has been made) until some date later in the month of July. A source with knowledge of the situation tells us that, if anything happens with Favre, it won't happen until closer to the opening of training camp, on July 31. Maybe Favre thinks that, with each passing day, the threat of not playing at all for the Vikings could cause the team to pay him even more money.
