07:00 AM ET 08.05 | On a couple of occasions over the past couple of months, rumors have surfaced that the Cowboys might re-sign cornerback Pacman Jones. To date, it hasn't happened. As one league source explained it, Executive Vice President Stephen Jones has been acquiring more juice within the building, as evidenced by the decision to dump Terrell Owens. So while owner Jerry Jones might be tempted to give Pacman another chance, we're told that Stephen Jones is squarely against it -- and that as a result it most likely won't be happening.

you saying the same thing about Vick where ever he goes? Pacman will not be the same player again. That year off really hurt his playing career.

Keeping up with the Joneses. All of them.

Once Jerry steps down, maybe they'll win a playoff game.

Pacman = Damaged Goods

Rare that the one hired through nepotism is the smart one.

Like father, not like son.

This is really old news...

The Cowboys are 'finally' cleaning house of junk....why would they possibly want Pacman back?

Wasn't he the one blogging on myspace and facebook during the draft?

This makes sense. Since Plax is going to the slammer and TO was traded, you need to restock the bad apple basket.

It has been a while for "America's Team" hasn't it....

Anything to created some buzz about the Cowboys. This is a team that hasn't won a playoff game since 1996 and missed the playoffs last season after getting stomped by the Eagles
44-6. There are 31 other teams, training camp has started. Surely, there are some interesting stories out there.
