09:09 AM ET 08.07 | Owner/driver Tony Stewart says he doesn't foresee his Stewart-Haas Racing organization expanding to include a third NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team in 2010. Stewart-Haas currently fields the No. 14 Chevrolet for Stewart as well as the No. 39 Chevrolet for teammate Ryan Newman.

better drivers contracts are up in 2010... namely Harvick's, and Kasey Kahne's....

Yeah, the pickins will be better in a year and S-H will be in a year stronger. They will be a team to deal with for a while to come.

If Danica brings enough sponsorship monies with her, they'll add a third team.

Hey, mow de lon, long time no hear from you. LOL The money is the key and the SHR group is smart enough not to overextend. Money will change their mind but I don't see them having any interest in Danica.

It's all a matter of what Ray Hendrick desires, and he obviously cares not to expand at this time. Stewart don't call the shots!

i agree, but drivers have brkoen their contracts or wiggled their way out of them early. if stewart really wanted someone to drive for him next year, he would get them.
stewart is off to a great start as an owner, he needs to make sure he doesnt overdo it by getting too big too fast.
ask me, jack rousch decided to ahve so many teams that he couldnt focus on any one or two as the top ones, and they all turned into good, but not championship caliber teams for quite a while

Maybe Tony is waiting for Jr's contract. Oh man, that wasnt even remotely funny.

Please. Sponsorship money or not, I think Danica is going to bring too many problems with her for any serious race team to take her on. Send her to DEI or GEM if she's got her heart set on the Cup Series, but I think she needs to cut her teeth in the Nationwide first.

i agree. i also read recently where Jeff Gordon said taht he does not believe Danica will come to nascar, he said something like the change would be too big for her.
Danica pulled this same BS ploy the last time her contract was up, she said that she was open to going to nascar...that translates into-gimme me more $$ in irl..

Who is an idiot now? Screwball.

Stewart has the time to wait and see what happens with other drivers once the season is over. If no driver becomes available to his liking .. he again has the luxury of time on his side

stewart I'm sure cares more about performance than publicity. sorta like style vs. substance.

Man I hope you are right.

It's the wood alcohol! And who the heck is Ray Hendrick?

SH has had great first year success but should only expand as fast as good support staff are available. Just my opinion...
