Wow. Surprised the Cubs would be willing to give up on Harden. I have a feeling this might not really happen though.

Heilman is a different story. I wouldn't be surprised at all to see him get traded.

Agreed. Harden is too good to let go. Heilman...who cares?

Hey Chisox, love the new look. Can't say I blame you for wearing them around your head, especially considering that Catwoman had probably been wearing them for the entire week prior.

PRRRRRRRRRRR

Ja hey der, my ?boy?, Mark, knows what the Cubs should do. He thinks Heilman will be traded to another team and become a lights out closer. And he will tell you that Harden has a sore arm from being mishandled by the Cubs and should be shot or put out to pasture. Listen to what Markie says and do the opposite, the boy is a eff up, don'tcha know.

Harden is a type A free agent so they won't let him go unless they get a good haul in return. If they lose him to free agency they will receive 2 draft picks in return.

This isn't really a story, All teams run all their players through waivers at this time of year. Doesn't meant they want to get rid of them or will get rid of them.

There is 34 games left in ths season including todays for the twinkees- I wonder what the Twins are planning on giving up for such a short rental let alone accomplishing. they moved a half game up on the White Sox- but i think the White sox are a better team and will rebound and atleast be back in 2nd in 2 more weeks of play if not trolling even more closely with my tigers.
Harden is a great pitcher, when healthy- but his AL injury record is not just a coincidence- the man has more pressure through entire line-ups. i understand the Cubs trying to get a little something in return for him leaving after this season but I really don't understand what the Twins are up to?
He pitches Monday sporting a 3.99 ERA with the cubs and would then schedule wise have 6 starts if slotted the same rotationally with the twins before the season ends- and only one of those starts would wind up against the white Sox and none against Detroit. Is this just to build hype for their new park and get the presale deposits flowing a little more quickly- cause I don't see any other logic here in that.

Heilman doesn't have the mental toughness to be a closer but he could do alright as a set up man with a better pitching coach. Harden is a good pitcher but has had too many arm problems in the past. Why else would the Cubbies be trying to trade him?

Ja hey der, didn't I tell you Markie would say this? Do I know the little sissypants or what? If you put your head between your legs and inhale deeply, you will know where Markie gets his reasoning, don'tcha know.

Actually, if you could read for meaning, I did not say what you said I would. But what would you expect from a Cubbie fan who expected the Cubs to win a World Series this year and the past two years.

Would've thought SF would've snagged Harden but, whatever. The Twinkies aren't going to the playoffs so that move really doesn't make a lot of sense..., Harden would be better off in SF or St. Louis.

Most of the writers on this site (where you get all your vast knowledge from) and ESPN picked the Cubs to win the World Series last year too Markie!

Ja hey der, junior, if you ever said anything worthwhile, the Cubs probably would win the World Series. By the way, I'm not a Cubs fan, I'm a fan of far out, just like you, don'tcha know.

Yoohoo, KenoshaMark, you left your bra and panties at my place last night. You can pick them up next time I see you. Luv ya, Buuuh-bye!!!

The "Ja hey der" gig wasn't funny the first time (back when you were using Hitler as your avatar) and it hasn't gotten any funnier with time. Time to think up a new schtick.

Which just emphasizes how pathetic their getting swept in the post-season last year was. The Cubbies are masters of the choke. And they have excuses for every one of them. That is what the Cubbies are best at: finding scapegoats and making excuses.
