Why Haley-Gailey didn't work in KC

05:44 AM ET 09.01 | From the start, the union between Todd Haley as head coach and Chan Gailey as offensive coordinator made no sense to Larry Johnson. "There (were) too many roosters in the hen house, so to speak," said Johnson, a veteran running back for the Chiefs. "Two coordinators, both passionate about what they do and how they call plays. To me, it was only a matter of time." Gailey, of course, was the one who lost out. Haley fired Gailey as coordinator and took over the play-calling duties. Gailey was reassigned to unspecified duties unrelated to coaching.

The question is, will he fire himself after they suck next week?

All the confusion over the names "Haley" and "Gailey" were just too much for some players to handle.

In the picture it looks like he ready to take a bite of a gaint invisible **** sandwich.

Maybe they couldn't agree on which backup QB should step up now.

Chan went all Anquan Boldin on Haley and screamed him down on the sideline.

Add the Broncos and their issues and you can see why Charger fans are so happy these days.

Just think back for a moment Mr. Otis, If the true coaches of the NFL were still around. Would these pussified players even be on the team?

Only highlight this year for the Chiefs is some better D than the last few seasons. I think their run D is improved, and maybe Flowers is going to be that good. As for Mays...what a beast. But I was surprised they didn't get rid of Chan, heck they let the Gun Cunningham go. I always liked him, well not as a coach...too whiney
