08:45 AM ET 09.12 | Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis did what he could in practice this week to simulate the noise his No. 18 Irish (1-0) will hear when they play Michigan (1-0) in the ''Big House'' today. When it was his turn to DJ, Weis blasted Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi.

but then again. captain lou or dr. lou whatever still thinks the Irish are going to the title game! anyways domers vs big blue will hopefully be exciting game.

Regardless of what a do--uche Weis is and how over rated the team is, ND DOES have a lot of talent on the field and will be a fierce team to defend against for Michigan. We will see if ND sticks to their one dimensional type of play and rely on Clausen to serve up air balls to his wide outs to jump and catch. Michigan will have its hands full today especially since a few key players are injured. Michigan will have band together and play like they have never played to beat the Irish like many Catholic Priests have beaten little boys after molesting them. If Michigan can win here and win in a decisive manner two thing happen. RR will sparked the beginning of his dynasty at Michigan and Charlie Weis will find himself back in the pros after the year is over.

Who is out for the ND game and what are the injuries, Warden?

September 12, 2009  09:45 AM ET

Do you wonder if Weis played Bon Jovi and Springsteen because their CDs were atop a pile and handy? Or, do you think he searched for these selections (brought them with him?)?

This is absolutely disgusting!!! Bruce Springsteen is one of the all time greats, and he pretty much kept rock 'n' roll alive singlehandedly for about 18 months in the mid 1970's. To defile his music by grouping it with Bon Jovi is by far and away Jabba's worst sin to date.

Springsteen's concert in Denver, December 1976... They opened the doors just before his 5 song encore. The fresh air revitalized the crowd (the band didn't need anything. They were hot to play.). When the E street band sounded the last note of the 5th song, they brought up the lights. I had drifted downstage and overheard someone say, "You wanna do one more?" Fine times.

Dark period for rock 'n' roll in general. ****in' disco everywhere. Sex Pistols trying to move rock in the wrong direction. Petty and Benatar not yet on the scene. Most 60's bands were fading. Stones struggling because of Richards' addiction issues. Thank god for the Boss.

Amen.

On another note, there is no confirmation to the rumor that Charlie is preparing for the game with 3 dozen krispy kreme doughnuts

Junior Hemmingway is the only injury to speak of for UM, but they are really deep at WR...Stonum will take his spot.

ND's middle LB, cant remember his name, is out this week.

Go Blue

Dieting? On game day?

Anything on Stonum, annarbor?

September 12, 2009  10:33 AM ET

Any insights on Big Blue's D matching up against ND's offensive weapons?

he is a pretty good young guy(he has some Mario Manningham in his game), he is a deep threat, highly recruited...in my opinion, it is a crap shoot when deciding between Hemmingway and Stonum, injuries aside

D warren is one of the best corners in the country...he gets michael floyd. Cissoko is a sophmore on the other side who will probably get Golden Tate most of the time. The secondary is young but they can at least contain ND's wideouts i think...
The key to this game, (this is where the game will be won or lost), is can UM get pressure on Clausen...the D line looked nasty against western but that was western.

If Clausen gets to hang out in the pocket, the game is over...ND's recievers will eventually get open

Compared to 2008, UM's D looked like another team in the opener against Western. Yes, I agree that the trenches will decide much of the outcome. See any key match-ups to watch?

i dont know much about ND's O line but any guy lined up across from Brandon Graham is going to have his hands full today. Mike Martin at DT is pretty nasty too, he can bench more than any Michigan player in decades

Who plays Bon jovi to get fired up?... aside from Richard Simmons
