07:10 AM ET 09.16 | Andre Iguodala said he'd like to play a little point guard this year for the 76ers. New coach Eddie Jordan's system calls for a two-guard front, not necessarily including a traditional point guard, and there has been mention of Iguodala's handling some lead-guard duties. Iguodala said he'd like that role.

I think Andre has the potential to put up way better numbers, well he should be as he plays like 39 minutes per game.

Also, hopefully this time round Elton Brand can find his niche and Gel Well, and help the Sixers out significantly.

Never heard of this turd nugget.

September 16, 2009  08:35 AM ET

I think he can put up good numbers but he is not a point guard. He doesnt have real point guard skills.

You never heard of Andre Iguodala? Where have you been? Ever heard of the 76ers? He's their best player.

good player top 10 SG.....not PG...

September 16, 2009  09:57 AM ET

I don't think this is a good move. AI is a SOLID SG and he should let it be that. PG is a specialty position, and needs a 100% committed and dedicated resource to do that.

Why increase the turnover count unnecessarily?

September 16, 2009  10:09 AM ET

I see no problem.

September 16, 2009  10:09 AM ET

way to decide that you dont want to involve the other 4 guys on the floor in the offense. if you put a shooting guard at the point guard position.....guess what he's gonna do? keep shooting the ball! esp since he already has it!

Thats a fair statement. Plus I was kind of tipsy this morning. A mishap with sneaking some punch my wife made for tonight but please disregard my turd nugget statement.

He can be like a Ron Harper but with more talent.

ron harper had a WHOLE lot of talent at one point in time. this was of course before his knees retired in the middle of his basketball career. go back and look at some of his highlights when he played with the cavs....They called him a poor man's Jordan. kind of a backhanded compliment, but Ron could go!

Everyone is going to play point guard in Eddie Jordan's new system. The turnover-free days of Andre Miller will be a thing of the past.

Well never really did watch much of harper when he played only in the slam dunk contest and with the Bulls and Lakers. Are you saying he was as explosive in your face type of player in his early days as A.I

September 16, 2009  11:55 AM ET

Iguodala wont have any trouble playing point in eddie's system. He played as a point forward for most of his career (he only started a few games at the 2), and eddie jordan's system does not require a pure point guard. He can handle and pass as well as any 2 in the L and he will do fine in the "point guard" that the new sixers system will be running.

Also, those turnover-free days may be gone, but the sixers are now going to be a much better perimiter defensive team. Andre Miller has the laziest close out of any point in the leage, and that lead to the sixers being a leader in 3pointers alowed per game. There going to lose some leadership without miller, but having iggy, lou, and jrue will deff. improve in a lot of areas too.

he was athletic and could score in bunches! look it up....ron use to kill with the cavs the clippers too if i remember correctly....the one everyone saw with the bulls and lakers was a shell...

Stephon Marbury and Tisdale from Indiani is available.

Tough to imagine a team improving after losing Andre Miller. Teams have mostly gotten worse upon his departure and improved on his arrival.
