08:45 AM ET 09.26 | Taking the first steps in an attempt to redeem his public image, Heat forward Michael Beasley apologized Friday for actions that led to his month-long stay in a substance-abuse facility and vowed to turn around his life and fledgling basketball career. `I'd like to start by apologizing to the fans, the team and to the organization, and also thanking everyone for their support and for backing me up during my lowest hour," Beasley said.
