08:43 AM ET 09.27 | An announced crowd of 71,011 watched in silence as Tebow lay motionless for several minutes after being sacked by Wyndham. While falling, Tebow's head appeared to hit the knee of Florida right tackle Marcus Gilbert. Tim Tebow collapsed after the collision and lay motionless for several tense minutes. His left arm was his last body part to fall on the damp grass of C.M. Newton Field. Trainers rushed to the injured star and knelt by Tebow's head. For at least two minutes, UF's medical staff could do nothing but monitor the quarterback's breathing. He appeared to be knocked out cold. Tebow began vomiting into a trash bag during the fourth quarter, and at that point was wheeled into the locker room. According to Florida associate athletic director Steve McClain, Tebow sustained a concussion and was taken to nearby University of Kentucky Medical Center for further evaluation. Tebow was taken to the hospital by ambulance before the end of regulation. Tebow was to remain hospitalized overnight.

Hopefully he is okay. It is hard not to root for this guy since he plays the game the right way and is such a great player. Too bad that loser Kentucky player had to celebrate the hit like he had just won the Super Bowl as Tebow laid there motionless. Totally classless.

I was scared to death when he was hit. They started tapping on his shoulders and helmet. He was out.

Thats what you get for trying to run up the score. This should serve as a warning for all ncaa coaches who try to get a higher ranking by showing poor sportsmanship. Serves him right.

What's his name? I'm sure the PH. Eagles will be interested.

This makes the University of Florida coaching staff look really bad. The best part of your team gets a significant injury and you leave him on the sidelines?? What the heck are you thinking?? I hope this guy recovers, he has a great career and it would be a shame to see him go out this way.

No one deserves injury like that!

No one deserves to have the score run up on them so some pretty boy can try to win the Heisman. Like I said "It serves him right!".

Only a total moron would associate and compare a potentially life threatening, career ending injury as a just punishment for allegedly running up the score. Try to separate life and reality from the game, you sound foolish.

You are right. If the game was in Philly, the fans would have cheered.

September 27, 2009  09:38 AM ET

Headline "How Badly is Tebow's Concussion?" What moron wrote that? My 5th grade english teacher would have given me an "F" for using an adverb as a noun. Correct: "How Bad is Tebow's Concussion?". You clearly wouldn't say "Tebow's concussion is badly". Don't sports writers go to school?

Hey CT get a football team first and then start firing shots. And no, the Patriots don't count, get your own team in your own state...

And no one in Philly would be cheering for this kind of injury.

But when the cocaine cowboy got hurt, there was some well deserved mockery there.

September 27, 2009  09:41 AM ET

Run up the score on me and you'll get punched in the mouth. It was a totally clean hit. It's football, stuff happens. But when the score dictates you should run the clock or put in your 2nd string in and then your QB goes down, IT'S THE COACHES FAULT! For trying to run up the score.

Just saw the play - if that is a cheap shot, then stop playing the game. Kindle's shot on Potts in the UT-TT game last week was far closer to a "cheap shot" than this.

The guy drilled Tebow - but it was clean.

September 27, 2009  09:46 AM ET

Who you cheering for in Philly??? Army???Temple???
Go back to justifying things Ron Mexico did.

p.s. Cocaine Cowboy??? WTF???

No doubt it was a clean play. It was the unnecessary celebration after it when Tebow was out cold on the ground that makes me wonder if this KY player has a clue.

Are you serious? You honestly think that he DESERVED to get a concussion and have an overnight stay in the hospital because they tried to run up the score? Wow...

Philly booed Santa Clause.

I am not so sure about that.

He had just sacked probably the best QB in the league. I can't say for sure, but I don't think he knew Tebow was injured. If he did I can't and will not defend the celebration, but I have trouble believing he celebrated knowing Tebow was down for the count.
