05:45 AM ET 09.28 | Coach Jim Mora and kicker Olindo Mare could agree on one thing after Sunday's game. Well, actually they agreed on two things since that's how many field-goal attempts Mare missed in Sunday's 25-19 loss to Chicago. "They were just bad kicks," Mare said. He won't get an argument from his coach in that regard after Mare missed a 43-yard attempt in the final minute of the first half and a 34-yard try in the third quarter. "No excuses for those," Mora said. "If you're a kicker in the National Football League, you should make those kicks. Bottom line. End of story. Period. No excuses."

This coach won't last too long if he blames losses on his players. I watched the game. It wasn't stellar coaching by any means. Be a man and protect your players.
