06:33 AM ET 10.02 | Jim Brown, who made $85,000 in the final season of his Hall of Fame career, has a message for the 49ers' first-round draft pick: "Mr. Crabtree, get your butt in camp," he said. In an interview with Sirius XM radio, Brown told host Joe Madison that Michael Crabtree's current stance is --totally ridiculous' and said that an athlete's career is measured by the way he plays, not the contract he signs. "You don't realize that your legacy will be based upon how you perform, not how much money you made," Brown said on the show.

Crabtree probably had to look up the word legacy in the dictionary when he heard the interview.

and Jim Brown is relavent is Crabtree's magical world....no. I'm sure Crabtree and his agent thought about what he said for a nanosec and then laughed. He's not playing this year. I hope no one drafts him until the 3rd round next year.

In any event, no way he gets drafted with a top-10 pick next year (he went 10th this year) so he'll never get a better offer. In a perfect world, he'd last till the third round at least and go to a team on the decline.

From one egomaniac to another.

Hey Crabtree, Maurice Clarett is on the phone he says "You're not bigger than the game!"

He sure does.

twelve is next, when did the warden give Clarett phone privileges?

I've said all I can on Craptree.

October 2, 2009  07:14 AM ET

Ummmm..... Jim, Camp is over.

This should take care of things. All Crabtree has to do is look at Brown's criminal past and be afraid about what may be next.

I think you're the only one overly concerned about people's criminal past.

4th or 5th round, and Cleveland, is my hope.

The Boston Ballet Company is looking for a new Prima Donna. Can he do Swan Lake?

This guy is still around? He needs to mind his own business..

Crabtree is sofa king we todd it. He will not be the same. There has not been one player who sat out or was suspended for a whole year who came back to their former level of play.

October 2, 2009  07:44 AM ET

Rare to see Jim Brown without that stupid hat on.
