Gophers coach Tubby Smith has a chance to add a top 10 player to his 2010 recruiting class, because Findlay Prep (Nev.) point guard Cory Joseph has Minnesota on his final list of seven schools. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Joseph, the brother of Gophers sophomore Devoe Joseph, reportedly narrowed his choices down to Texas, Connecticut, Villanova, Nevada Las Vegas, Florida, Mississippi State and Minnesota.

His real name is ORLANDO. Had to look it up. When a grown man is still called " Tubby," then there is a reason for it..

Haha are you for real?

Tubby couldn't lead his team. He walked away because he just couldn't handle the job anymore. When you are the number one seed in the whole tournament and lose to UAB in the second round you got problems. He had talent there and in the end he just couldn't recruit any more. He had some nice classes but let local talent go elsewhere and tried to get to many project players.

Both Smith and Kentucky are better off. Smith's expectations aren't high at Minnesota, too bad for the Gophers though that Tubs doesn't have another son. You don't understand how painful it can be to watch the coachs son play as if he ate a BIG bowl of suck for breakfest.

KY home of the NCAA violations. Win at any cost. It's a shame that they didn't realize a class act when they see it. Cal will bring them down just as he did before at UMASS and Memphis. Of course we realize he did nothing wrong. Three players who commited to Memphis are now at KY along with his 16% grad rate. That will probably be an increase at the dirtiest program ever in basketball.

Please keep in that tiny mind of yours briggsky2, Rick Pitino is the only College Basketball coach currently in the state of Kentucky that has violations on his record....not to mention rape and forced abortion. So I would really not brag about what you have in Louisville.

COACH TUBBY IS A GOOD COACH AND A GREAT PERSON. AS WELL COACH CAL AND COACH RICK.AS SOMEONE WHO IS A COACH ALSO IHAVE GREAT RESPECT FOR THE JOBS THEY DO .SOMETIMES A FAN THINKS IT IS SO SIMPLE BUT THEY HAVE NO CLUE. KEEP DOING YOUR THING COACHES

Seems only a couple of years ago when fans were hailing the arrival of Billy G. A couple of Memphis signees said they had the release in their LOI if the coach left, at the suggestion of the coach, hmmmmmmmmmm. If coach cal was really all that classy, he would not have accepted any of the signees from memphis to kentucky. it was a slap in the face for leaving and a kick in the b____s for taking their recruits.

Seriously this guy is considering Mississippi State? It is very seldom if ever that I hear something good about my university. I hope he commits unlike the other guys that I have bailed on us last minute to go straight to NBA(Can't blame them).

Go Tubby. Glad to see he is out of that hell hole they call Lexington. I cannot wait for Calipari to get caught and sanctions are brought against UK. They deserve whatever they get. Honestly, this program should have gotten the death penalty like SMU in football years ago.
