08:14 AM ET 10.05 | Fedor Emelianenko is receiving support from an unlikely source in his upcoming fight against Brett Rogers - UFC President Dana White. White stated that he still hopes the Russian heavyweight fights in the UFC one day with an untarnished record. "The reality is, I hope that Buck (Brett) Rogers doesn't knock him out," White admitted. "Because I want to get Fedor in the UFC, I want to see him fight Brock Lesnar."

Look, there is about 100 to 1 chance that Rogers can win by connecting one REALLY good time. Thing is, Fedor has been clocked cold before and recovered to submit the big bas**rds. If Rogers wins then people will start forgetting about Strikeforce again unless Fedor picks up two good wins and they build some type of grudge match hype. Though I doubt Rogers can stay undefeated much longer because his stand-up is his only real weapon at the moment.

I think Brock would have just started bench pressing Nelson for the fun of it. Then he would KHTFO.

Well stop saying stupid and spiteful things and maybe that can happen. You are your own worse enemy Dana.

of course its in Whites interest for Fedor to win. Whites wants Fedor no bones about it.

Let Kimbo fight Lesnar

Kimbo can't even beat Nelson. What's he going to do when 290lbs is on top of him?

Not to mention Brock wouldn't pat his head like that.

I do not think by winning Fedor will migrate to UFC. I really think he needs to lose ... this will take away his positional advantage, and keep the UFC at bay. I am not saying I want Brett to beat him. I enjoy watching Fedor kill everyone he fights. He is really amazing to watch and I have always been a fan, but if he loses then he can beat whatever chump the UFC throws at him. Then it will set up the match that everyone wants to see...Lesnar. Oh and please do not give him Randy if that where the situation...it would not be a fight.

Brock better beat Shane Carwin or there goes Dana's cash cow.

October 5, 2009  01:37 PM ET

Some peoples kids, I wouldnt mind seeing Brock mop Fedor and who ever is saying they would like to see Kimbo fight Lesnar should get locked up for attempted murder because that basically what will happen!

That's because it's not about martial arts. It's about money. And the big money line is let Slice have Lesnar. You make money. Tons of it. Correction, White makes a lot of money.

October 5, 2009  04:00 PM ET

I really want Fedor to have a one-fight deal where he would fight, and of course, defeat Brock Lesnar to finally silence his critics. Except for Lesnar, the UFC heavyweight division is just a bunch of bums. Nogueira, Mir, Couture - old, weary, tired guys. Shane Carwin - big gaps in the game, Cain Velasquez - poor stand up. It would be lonely for Fedor at the top there. So my bet is that somehow a one-fight Fedor deal will be arranged.

Kimbo doesnt belong in the UFC and Lesnar would crush him

October 5, 2009  05:15 PM ET

All Dana White cares about is the money this fight would generate. Oh wait, that is his job...

October 5, 2009  06:46 PM ET

Fedor will never fight in the UFC...Red Devil managment and Dana are just to entities that do not compromise on anything.
Fedor would actually have to lose to have any shot at coming to the UFC; at which point his marketability would have taken a huge hit.
A one fight deal will never work for the UFC, if he beats Brock it just makes them look bad with no way of recouping their investment.

wow ur so wrong on several levels. while i agree Couture and Nog are older, they're not weary and still hold their own. Mir might have a loud mouth but hes still a very good fighter on the ground. as for Carwin i like the guy and think he has a bright future in the HHW division even if he has a few gaps in his game. so to say its going to be lonely at the top in the UFC, i say bull. Mir, Carwin, and Lesner would give Fedor a run for his money if not out right beat him.

Agreed. But it is not just him. it is the contract. Fedor will never sign a contract where he belongs to UFC if he does... Fedor is too big a fighter to allow UFC to controll him.
