07:33 AM ET 10.06 | LSU coach Les Miles is hoping for a Tim Tebow return. Miles said last week that in a perfect world he'd like Tebow to play this week and on Monday further expressed concern. "Certainly, we're saddened that Tim Tebow was injured," he said. "It's the worst thing about college football; you don't want injury. You don't want it for your opponent. You don't want it for yourself. I'm certain that they'll do the right things for him, and they'll have a great quarterback playing for Florida anyway. -- Tim Tebow is great for football. He's great for Florida. If he's healthy and capable, we'd love to compete against him."

i think what he is saying is, "We don't want any excuses when we beat Florida." just in different words, but he is a class act.

As a competitor you'd have to want Tebow out there healthy and at his best... that way no excuses if LSU wins.
Similar to 1997 when Tennessee played Nebraska in Orange Bowl. Peyton Manning had an injury and Nebraska DESPERATELY wanted him healthy and playing... to eliminate any excuses.

Agreed... Miles did the right thing by his players
And they definitely want to ring TT's bell...
If we beat the UF w/ or w/ out TT they still wont have any excuses...

Hope that's a poor attempt at sarcasm on your part? As Miles is anything but class. Arrogrant? Yes. Sarcastic? Yes. Overrated? Yes.

of course he wants tebow to play so when lsu gets chomped at least he'll say "that tebow is one hell of a player." plus he wouldn't want to lose to a backup. his luck has done run out on saturday. what is that pic too? its like he's getting tasered or something.

To be the best you have to beat the best and Tebow is the best! Im an avid UGA fan, but I do not think that LSU is looking like the 4th best team in the country right now. Although UGA has played pretty good Defense the last two games, they kept LSUs running game in check until the very end and they held LSU to 2 field goals even after the tigers completed a few big passing plays. It would probably help LSU if Tebow didn't play, because if he does and he is at least close to 100%, I think he will be a heck of a force for LSU to try and reckon with. Florida cannot and they will not win the national championship if Tebow is their only offense, but even if he has to carry most of the load, his unbelievable leadership abilities and unmatchable passion will give Florida an edge that not many teams can match, not even my dawgs. I dont know if Florida will score 40 to 50 points a game like they did last year, but Florida has a formidable Defense that will be their source of power that will bring them victories. All Tebow needs to do is keep playing like he has and play with the passion that brought his team 2 national championships. If Tebow is healthy going into the LSU game, Miles may be wishing that Tebow had a few more recovery days. Tims a player that doesnt come around every year. Hes talented, yes, but its his leadership, passion, and love of the game that gives him an edge over almost every player he faces. Tebow will be ready Saturday. For LSUs sake, Miles better be too.
