Will Jets trade keep LeBron out of New York?

07:10 AM ET 10.08 | It's clear Cleveland wasn't big enough for both LeBron James and Braylon Edwards. But is New York? James may have gotten Braylon Edwards banished from Cleveland after the football player scuffled with a friend of the basketball star, but did James know Edwards would land in New York with the Jets. James looks headed toward free agency at the end of the NBA season, with the Knicks often rumored as a desirable suitor. The Knicks can't pay James as much as the Cavaliers can. Now a supposed rival is in town. James, who called Edwards "childish" for allegedly punching one of his friends outside a nightclub earlier this week, didn't take the opportunity of Edwards being traded to take another swipe at the former Browns wide receiver. "Nothing to comment on," James said. "You guys never asked me before about any other trades in the NFL. It's not my sport to worry about."

Are you kidding me????

I'm apt to believe this trade was ordered by the governor of Ohio as they are doing everything they can to make Lebron comfortable because if he leaves the whole state will go bankrupt... what better place to ship him than to NY to discourage Lebron from going there... but little did they know that NYC is big enough to accomodate two rivals and more importantly LBJ and his crew fear nobody!

I dont think the GOv had anything to do w/any of this. Neither did LBJ. Cleveland is a mess (NFL WISE), and I am sure this guy is a locker room PITA. This was probably it for the browns and they just moved him out.

In other news, a Cleveland police officer has been suspended indefinitely for giving a ticket to one of Lebron's friends ...

October 8, 2009  08:48 AM ET

perhaps the dumbest article i've ever read

October 8, 2009  08:53 AM ET

Liked how Lebron handled that . . . .Back in the day newspapers reported news, now because of the 24/hour news cycle, they want to try and make news . . .

Who cares where LeBron may or may not go when his contract expires. The media has been all over this for two or three years. I think they are the only people eyeing LeBron in New York. Does anybody care about what LeBron wants to do?

October 8, 2009  09:13 AM ET

Dumb article. As usual

In related news... The Post announced it has completed its transformation and now will be called "US Weekly's, THE POST"

Lostwill. When are you have lebron next baby. If Lebron comes to the Knicks he won't win anything there just like ewing didn't that team is worst then the cavs. Even with there being other good free agents coming out that year will the knicks have money to sign both with the bad cap moves they have made. Also will they come and play there. Last i check people were not rushing to go play there last time it was a good free agent market. Don't for get to tell us if it is a Boy or a girl get off his nuts.

October 8, 2009  09:28 AM ET

Is Lebron's crew like the g-unit or what?
