Junior center commits to Illinois
St. Ignatius junior Nnanna Egwu began playing basketball three years ago. In two more years, he'll be playing at Illinois. The 6-foot-10, 210-pound center gave an oral commitment Friday to the Illini, whom he picked over Purdue. He had eight scholarship offers and is ranked 48th nationally in the class of 2011 by Rivals.com.
