Vanderbilt lands big man
Vanderbilt landed some size with its second men's basketball commitment for the Class of 2010. Josh Henderson, a 6-foot-11, 225-pound center whose father played at Maryland, phoned Coach Kevin Stallings over the weekend and committed to the Commodores. Henderson chose Vanderbilt over Davidson. His list of offers also included Cincinnati, Maryland, Penn State, Virginia, Wake Forest and Xavier.

Kevin Stallings has run a quality program where ever he has been. I can't recall an incident with outside agencies having to reprimand any of his players. He even graduates players!! Isn't that what all coaches should strive for? All that and a respectable record!

I've watched this kid in person during high school games. He's got good instincts, decent feet, and solid hand-eye coordination. He blocked a ton of shots, but it was high school ball. He will need to hit the weight room and live there. A good kid with good potential. Don't expect him to come in and make waves immediately, but he could be a solid member of the program for 4-5 years.
