07:28 AM ET 10.13 | With his two-game suspension coming to an end, forward Stephen Jackson said Monday he is ready to rejoin the Warriors. It began in Friday's exhibition against the Los Angeles Lakers at the Forum. Jackson and the Lakers' Kobe Bryant were locked up against each other in the first quarter. The competition became testy, and Jackson picked up five fouls and a technical foul in the quarter. Jackson voiced his anger at the coaching staff when he was taken out of the game at the 2:50 mark of the quarter. Jackson said he was upset because the coaches left him in the game despite his foul trouble, and he felt they didn't stick up for him with the replacement referees.

Kobe isn't the one person you're going to get sympathy with from the replacements refs.

Two-way street, Stephen...

Sounds like Jackson was just having a bad day. The Warriors staff should have taken it in stride, and it should not be made a big deal of.

It's always going to be a bad day when you're up against Kobe or LBJ and expect the whistle to sometimes blow your way. Unfortunately, right or wrong, not gonna happen!

Hey Steven here's a thought just quit playing D like the rest of the warriors and presto...no more foul trouble. Don't you know as a Warrior the D end is where you rest up to have the energy to go hoist up a bad jumpshot @ the other end. Nelson probably suspended you for actually attempting to play D and slow the game down...Get w/ the program

This is a freaking preseason game... why get worked up over it...especially a player that doesn't want to be there anymore. When the report first came out my first inclination was Jackson used up his fouls to minimize his playing time for the Warriors as he wants out which I thought was extreme but clever on his part to force Don Nelson's hand in expediting a trade, buyout or banishment from the team.

On the real though Jackson needs to grow up. When you irk people you work with by asking out they won't stick up for you because you do not want to be part of them. That should be plain for him to see. The coaching staff and players are not at fault here.

This is what I was thinking completely when I read this. Why start a big Pizz over something that doesn't matter? Jackson is a bit of a head case to say the least, you have to learn to pick your battles

October 13, 2009  08:57 AM ET

really ?
ain't no way a player was pissed for being allowed to stay
on the floor....bottom line is he was used by Kobe and
IMMATURELY took it out on the coaching staff......

yup- not what you want out of your 'captain'

October 13, 2009  09:02 AM ET

Warriors better hope he doesn't become more of a head case than already is - Freaking pre-season with replacement refs to boot - Get over it "Captain".....

October 13, 2009  09:07 AM ET

if this is arguably your best player and captian...GS has serious issues...

October 13, 2009  09:26 AM ET

Captain Jack said he was mad for the coaches not pulling him out when he got in foul trouble and not having his back against the replacement refs. I agee that Nellie should have pulled him out early and probably should have argued a little if the replacement refs were blowing calls...however, Captain Jack should have just sat down and shut up. This is the preseason..maybe Nellie was just leaving him out there b/c he wanted to play his bench more in the 2nd half and didnt really care if he fouled out...etc. .

This is not behavior you want your captain showing the rookies.....They should remove the captain tag asap. He surely shown he is no leader.

October 13, 2009  09:53 AM ET

So your mad that other men didn't stick up for you as a man? In a pre-season game? Sounds like SJack was really emotional that day . . might need to check his hormone levels.....

They've had issues long before this.

October 13, 2009  10:23 AM ET

Stephen Jackson belongs in prison.. hes nothing more than a T/H/U/G

October 13, 2009  10:54 AM ET

its the preseason, they left you out on the court because the games doesnt matter!! you should just enjoy playing the game.

October 13, 2009  10:54 AM ET

I think S Jack overreacted but he can play for my Wizards anyday. He didn't get mad about shots or something like that. he got mad because he couldn't play D in a preseason game and his coach didn't at least attempt to help him get fair calls. I actually watched that game and some of those calls were amazing (and yeah, I'm a real ref, I do Div. 1 games) The advantage/disadvantage was tossed on it's head by some of the calls that seemed more like startstruck calls than rules based ones.

Again, Capt Jack needs to come down a notch but are we really mad at a player for actually caring about a game?

October 13, 2009  11:10 AM ET

ummm...what was the question again?

seriously lame. Jackson committed the fouls, not the coach. Dont blame it on the replacement ref's. A foul is a foul. Grow up and be the captain you need to be. The Warriors are going to have another season in the crapper.
