09:57 AM ET 10.13 | Tom Logano was back at Auto Club Speedway on Sunday to watch his son race in the Pepsi 500 a day after having his credential pulled following a run-in with driver Greg Biffle. Tom Logano confronted Biffle at the end of Saturday's Nationwide race - a race his son won - after Biffle nudged Joey Logano into the wall while passing for the lead on lap 50. Biffle hinted at the manuever shortly before it happened, a move that apparently angered the elder Logano. While his son celebrated in Victory Lane, Tom Logano approached Biffle's car as he pulled off the track and made at least one hand gesture during a short verbal confrontation. A NASCAR official then pulled Logano's credential. He met with both Nationwide and Sprint Cup series officials following the incident, NASCAR spokesman Ramsey Poston said.

he's 18.... gotta let go and just spectate there, pops.....

October 13, 2009  10:35 AM ET

if Joey's got a problem with it, then let Joey take it up with Biffle. daddy needs to stay out of it.

Sometimes US DADS just don't think stright,,and we sometimes make an arse of ourselfs...
but that part of being called POPS..

Maybe family members need to be in the stands watching rather than being so close to the action.
Then again NASCAR officials job to know when to watch certain people. I would have had my eyes on Biffle the whole time someone might take a crack at him after what he said and then did. Everyone on TV knew about it.

Biffle looks 18 with those braces he's repping now.

Joey is probably pretty embarrassed about this.

October 13, 2009  01:39 PM ET

I would have pulled his credential for the freakin year. Stay in the stands pops. Either that or watch the race from your home. Your son is a man now, let him take his lumps, and do what he needs to do.

Gee, isn't this the same Greg Biffle whose (then) girlfriend went running to Kurt Busch's pit a few years back after an on-track incident? No one pulled his girlfriend's credentials. What? It's okay for Biffle --a grown man -- to have his woman fight his battles, but Logano's father gets pulverized for defending his teenaged son? Quite a double standard there, Greggie.

Ok -- have been there done that ... emotions will kick in in a heart beat when it is preceived someone is doing you kid wrong ... I am so guilty of that it stinks. During the heat of battle as in racing it is human nature to protect your own...so let's all move on to the next race and let NASCAR keep an eye on those concerned...

Ever been to a girls softball game? The parents are ruthless...I was shocked at what I saw. Every call by the umpire was questioned, and the ump had to kick parents out. Bunch of scufflaws.

EarnTas & Jackman, I am GUILTY as charged.
Been kicked out of my sons' Hockey game 2 times for loudly voicing my opinion to the refs., but let my son handle his own fights in the rink.
I've voiced displeasure to some Fathers for the way their sons had raced my 2 sons and others stupidity in motocross.

I guess Biffle's Father wasn't conveniently available?

Yeah this is overblown......isnt like he turned in the Hulk and tipped the car. It was a jesture, something I do every night on the way home.

Say it ain't so -- let me take a guess ... three things will cause this before ya' flip em' off

1. Cellphone/texting in the passing lane driving with a rectal cranial inversion
2. Crap box foreign car driver cuttin' ya' off thinkin' he is in the movies drifting
3. Some broad puttin' on makeup, eatin' a sausage, etc.

Did I miss anything? I know I will catch holy hell with the #3...

Yeah, you missed something. #2 should read; . Crap box foreign car that will still be running after 80 thousand miles unlike most American cars driver cuttin' ya' off thinkin' he is in the movies drifting.

There, that's better.
