Basketball star Stephen Curry wanted to show the Davidson community how thankful he is for the past three years. So, on the eve of his NBA career, Curry made a remarkable gesture. At a personal cost of $3,000, he sent out 2,000 "Thank You" postcards this month to fans, faculty, students and alumni.

Which, based on his NBA earnings, is like one of us spending $1.25 to say thanks.

Huh???

Class act good kid. Good parents. Funny how a well brought up kid from a good home acts so beautifully in society. Congratulations be a role model for the younger ones. There are too many tatooed, cocky, over hyped wanna be's out there now that are a waste or air. Great to see a clean cut young man return thanks.

I think that there a lot of NBA, NFL, MLS, MLB, and PBA (Professional Bowlers Association, yes I said it) players that need to send out some postcards to thank the fans that selflessly promoted the players to greatness. Plus all this influx of postcards will help out the United States Post Office and hopefully keep stamps from increasing further.

LMAO!

How true...

However, after I stop laughing, it is a nice gesture and a classy act.

Very true. I can't even bring myself to writing thank you cards for Christmas gifts.

Thats awesome...how many famous people do that?!

October 22, 2009  12:16 PM ET

Can anyone tell me why the 3 of the first 4 posts are on CB??? Did they forget who's driving the friggin bus right now or what???

Just because a kid has tatoos does not mean they can't contribute or a beneficial to society, bigallen. Your demonstration of judging a book by its cover and your lack for proper grammar in your comments is much more offensive to me than any tatoo could be.

What a good gesture by a good kid. I will be rooting for him and I hope he succeeds in his NBA career and life, Although with actions like these I am sure he will.

Wish he fell to the knicks, i think he could have been a breath of fresh air in the garden... 1 more thought about this kid, maybe he should teach stephen jackson how to become a "professional"... good kid, good family, good for the sport, and i hope he has a nice career

Straight class.

October 23, 2009  02:44 AM ET

That is a nice gesture all the same even though it won't burn a hole in his pocket. He didn't have to but he did.

Of course not, but there are too many that don't. I can understand some enthusiasm but not the taunting... The end zone dance is toilet break time for me...

Classy kid, these kinds of things will come back to Curry. May he have a great NBA career and more importantly become an even greater human being.
