LeBron asks for patience

If seven years in the NBA have taught LeBron James one thing, it is that patience is a necessity, particularly when things aren't going quite right. James and his Cavs followed a season-opening loss on their home court to the Boston Celtics with last night's 101-91 drubbing by the Raptors to fall to 0-2. It's not the start anyone in Cleveland saw coming. James did his thing against the Raptors, following up a 38-point win Tuesday with a triple double that included 23 points, 11 rebounds and 12 assists. "Patience is what it's all about," James said. "Early in my career I would get very upset if we lost two or three games in a row. You feel like you can't turn it around, but I'm at a point in my career where I know that you can lose but at the same time you don't look too far into it. "You learn from your mistakes and get better. You can't keep making the same mistakes, that's when I get a little frustrated, but I don't think we have done that. We just have to get better."

Well I'm in no hurry LBJ...

Lose as many as you think you need to in order to learn what everyone else knows....

Shaq sucks!

Those two guys bring a whole new meaning to the word "lumbering" And if you add an "S" to it you get the result from the crowd

I wathched both Cavs games and one thing that I know is DEFINITELY missing is interior D. Especially that game against the Raps, Bargnani had like 3 dunks in the 1st half alone!! Wow!!

You think Wade was stupid to let him go? Or Steve Nash didn't know any better? Fleece!

Management and ownership have been made series of dumb cheap moves and her is the end result. The best player in the league doesn't have a champiionship team and now he has to struggle in the regular season as well? 38 points and a thriple double and no W? Then facing rebuilding next season? Back street boys sing bye bye bye.... hahahah

Yeah, but the Knicks haters will have you believe that the Cavs are far and away better than any team we could ever put on the court in NY.

I say again as I said, the Cavs are not all that. They are certainly better, but not all that much. The x factor has been and remains LBJ. Move him to NY from Cleveland and suddenly the Cavs are back in the basement, and the Knicks are back in the playoffs.

And before anyone twsists what I said, let me be clear. I am not saying LBJ is coming to NY, or that he should, or that we have a chance to get him etc. I am simply saying that the argument that he's only 1 or 2 pieces away from a title in Cleveland, while he'd be damned to a life of failure in NY is just plain foolish.

So when do the rumors of LeBron signing with Toronto in the off season begin?

October 29, 2009  09:13 AM ET

Yes, Lebron. Patience is the key, no need to hurry to get a w. Take all the time you need

October 29, 2009  09:14 AM ET

I miss D. West already! Our backcourt isn't shooting that well, so far. I know it's early, but we really need to get on track. And our bench play has been non-existent too. 30-17 last night, in the second, when LBJ came out. And the same against the Celtics on Tuesday.

Morning Epoch. I'm sure LBJ is probably a little ticked off, but he can't show it. Being the leader of the team, he knows that if anything, his teammates need his support right now, until they get it together. Now if we keep losing, he'll eventually slap the taste out of someone's mouth ......lol....I might make a trip back home and do it for him.

Wow Lostwill... you're usually one of the more legible and coherent posters... that post was rife with errors.

Thriple-double?

Drinking early or still drinking from last night? :-)

Its only been 2 games but it is looking like that's going to be a problem for the Cavs as the season continues.

October 29, 2009  09:39 AM ET

Patience grasshopper......

October 29, 2009  09:40 AM ET
