With all the injuries this team is complaining about, how can they be sitting this guy? This is one of the worst managed teams in the league and have been for years.

Why do people have problems with this guy? You can't blame him, if you overpay him.

I feel for Sykora. He was a vital member of the Penguins surge over the past 2 years, and he is not getting the respect he deserves.

I think that being in the playoffs for the last 2 years and being described as a veteran is hurting him. His grey beard in the playoffs may have tainted his image in a lot of peoples minds in terms of age. He looks like he is almost 40 years old, but everyone must remember, he is only 33 yrs old!! Give this guy a chance - he is and will continue to be a top 6 forward (when he isn't nursing a shoulder injury, that is)

Maybe a few more of these high priced players need to get some splinters in their arse to figure out its time to go out there and play. Why shouldn't the coach sit him? He is trying to send a message and if he too much of a baby to see how crappy he actually has been playing then let him sit and whine at the end of the bench. I am sick of all these players thinking they are entitled to be there. Put a little effort and maybe you will get the playing time. The Wild need to find their next Clutterbuck who comes up from the minors on a mission to stay in the show. I would send a few more of these primadonna's to the AHL for a wake up call and bring up the young guys who put in a 100% effort every night.

I didn't check his stat line. He did not do this with the Pens, who knows what is going on!

The Wild should bring in Sam Peckinpah's ghost to coach, bring in the ghosts of William Holden, Ben Johnson, maybe Warren Oates? Ernest Borgnine is still kicking.

Call themselves the Wild Bunch? That line up couldn't be much worse than the current one.

What a waste. Sykora is a 25-28 goal a year guy that competes hard. He has been vital to any team he's been on. I would LOVE to see him back with NJ skating with Elias again!!!!

I liked Bo Hopkins there Hank, even if he only lasted about ten minutes.

Send Richards back to the AHL bench for a game or two. See if it improves his state of mind.....

Do you know how many players are unhappy about their playing time? About 35% of most NHL players. Everyone wants to be on the ice since your earning your keep. If your on the bench, in most players minds they think they are going to the miners or getting cut.

And if you Twitter about it, it doesn't help your cause.

Is Todd Richards related to Craig MacTavish by any chance? It sounds very much like what MacT used to do in Edmonton. Stupid!

How can Richards leave Petr Sykora on the bench when he and Havlat are the only two guys in that line up who can win you a game with timely goals? Stupid!

Who cares its the wild of all teams. Maybe they change up there ugly jerseys.
