Reina has grown on me over the years, to where I now really appreciate his talents. He's one of the best distributors from goal I've seen.

Good call kopper...Reina does an outstanding job distributing out of the back...leads his players very nicely and gives them balls to control without a poor first touch.

I'll give Scousers a little credit...sometimes they are pretty genius on songs...from the 1940's showtune for You'll Never Walk Alone to using one of the best one-hit wonders songs ever made...

But then they get shown up by Spurs fans and their chants about Stevie G - "You really should be in jail..." Or whatever it was they were singing.

pretty timely after his 1st half against united

Liverpool needs to get on it. Reina already said he'd love to play for Atletico

Thanks for providing the actual song...yes, that's it!

HA.

Sometimes the songs are hard to follow but that Spurs v. Liverpool match the microphones must have been tuned just right.

Anytime you can lock-up the third best Spanish goalkeeper for big money, you gotta do it.

Casillas...Valdes...and then Reina?

What about Almunia? That's right...dude is English now...and still 5th best.
But his wife can see ghosts so he has that going for him.

LOL @ the ghosts.
Almunia and his wife are the Jim and Tammy Faye of the EPL (for being cartoon characters) ... what is it with Arsenal keepers that makes them bat-sh|t? Seaman and Lehman are a bag of nuts too.

I dunno, I'm going Valdes over Casillas at the moment, at least based on current form. The Madrid defense is doing him no favors at present time, but he hasn't been quite the same since Euro 2008, at least to St Iker standards. He'll make some outrageous save followed by a couple of non-Casillas like performances. Then again, keepers go through a series of ups and downs in their careers. I do contend that he's forced to do too much for Madrid which is taking him out of his game.

Anyone notice that Marlon King got 18 months in the can this morning? Sounds like the EPL version of Plaxico minus the self-inflicted gunshot wound.

I heard about that...

Interesting...why did Marlon King get jail time for a nightclub incident but not Steven Gerrard?

It can't be THAT obvious is it?

October 29, 2009  03:09 PM ET

But then again...Marlon King's defense on the incident was eerily similar to Shaggy's hit song "It Wasn't Me."

Amazing how nobody in England is asking that question.
And they had Gerrard on CCTV? True?
Of course, the English would devote hours of chatter pointing out how racist the Spanish are, or point out the monkey chants in France and Italy. I'm at the point of turning off the EPL because it's a complete fraud the more you pull back the curtain.

Actually...it is because the UK media is scared sh|tless of LFC and its supporters.

I am fairly confident if Gerrard played for any other club...there would have been a lot of media bashing. Now...take my comments with a grain of salt, I have a very, very biased viewpoint because of what a few **** LFC supporters have done to soccer in America.

So...I am kind of paraphrasing what a couple of people based in America have said regarding the lack of bollocks the UK media has when it comes to the subject of LFC.

Take a listen to the WFD podcast today talking about the LFC support groups terrorizing that kid who brought the beachball to the Sunderland game. Apparently most of the death threats - yes, the same kind of death threats that the show got - are coming from the same areas of the world based on the IP addresses handed over to British authorities.

I have an idea, perhaps we could introduce these LFC support groups to the Lazio/Roma Ultras on a deserted island and let them invoke mutual destruction.

PS - They also talked about that incident in the Brazilian second division - youtube clip included - that I posted on a couple of these threads. It's apparently being investigated in Brazil as a thrown match .... well, duh!
