Whenever I see him on TV I want to pull the back of his sweater vest over his head like a hockey player and punch him in the face. Just an urge.

If he's more interested in teaching, then he should avoid the cesspool of politics at all cost.

If he runs for office and wins, I'm gone

Just what the country needs another sap wishy washy gutless fence sitter no balls politician.

He'd get eaten alive by that collection of liars, thieves and scallywags.

I'm always curious what makes people think a coach automatically makes a good politician. I just don't get it.

I hope he does. Think OSU would bring back Coach Cooper? Please?

Guessing its the leadership qualities. If you can be the leader and instiller of values to 18-22 year old kids then you should have the ability to be an effective politician.

Personally, I could see him running for office but he does seem like he loves teaching. I saw the clip they had teaching his class on coaching at Ohio State and he seemed to really enjoy that. Plus he does have a teaching mentality and outlook on how he coaches.

Sounds like passive aggression towards Jim Tressel to suggest that he would be looking for another job...

at least Tressel appears to have some integity which is more than the vast majority of politicians

If read it again it says "outsiders" like to wonder. Insiders know that Tressel is staying as long as he chooses.

Hmmm... Tressell... Impeccable character... sweater vest... "It's a wonderful day in the neighborhood, a wonderful day to be neighborly. Will you be my neighbor?"
