A good player like him won't stay in Memphis very long. Remember Pau Gasol? This franchise showed they are not committed to winning when they brought in Alan Iverson and Zach Randolph.

For Gay though- I'd spend the $$$- he's proven he can play-
and they ain't gonna be able to replace him via FA

At the right price sure but Rudy isn't a star, or someone that should be a teams best player.

him getting 8-12 mil should not be a problem....
it's when you pay guys 17-20 mil that they HAVE to be a
true #1 guy......

young teams usually start out well -
lots of energy, other veteran layden teams don't typically
wake up til January.....

If Gasol contnues to play well & they play D- they're going to

I say let him go, HE probably thinks he's their #1 guy so he'll expect to be paid like one. They need to overpay for someone this summer, I know none of the big FA's are coming to the Griz but money will get someone, someone thats better then Rudy.

Gay is a ball-hog, just like Iverson, Randolph, Mayo. There isn't enough basketballs for all those guys. Memphis are going nowhere.

You stole my line. I was soooo pissed when they did that trade on draft day. Shane is a good player, but is a perfect role player.
